They are actually decent. The counter system is really good (and separates casuals from practiced players) and the fighting itself feels fluid and more "free" if that makes any sense.
But yeah, the gratuitous T&A are one of the series' selling point and be lying if I said I was ONLY there for the fighting and not the USP of DOA. Considering how popular the increasingly risque DLC for DOA5 was and how DOA Xtreme 3 broke sales records on Playasia for an import game, Tecmo risk alienating a load of their audience if they tone DOA6 down too much. After all, the silliness is kind of what makes it.
They want to be taken seriously and become a proper tournament game but in my opinion, I'd rather have the pervy stuff than more yawnsome tournament speak about frames, hit detection and all that gooseberry fool.
I bought all three revisions of DOA5 and shitloads of DLC. Definitely a cynical rip-off (not to mention horrendously-structured DLC on the store) but I enjoyed it all the same.
