Dead Rising 3: Out now on PC

Pretty mixed on this. It looks less clunky, it looks wider in scope, much more free. The humour is clearly still there for me, the breaking down of the fence, the well placed expletive and the wrench thrown to the head of a distant zombie raised a chuckle. The buzzsaw thing also had me laughing. But the humour is clearly not as accentuated as it was, and it looks a little more bland. It's a bit of a stand-off. It looks to play how I'd wish Dead Rising 2 did, but it doesn't immediately appeal to me as much as the original, or even, to a lesser extent, the sequel.

After the price point the exclusivity stings a little too.

The guy on the GT feed now says the comedy is still there, but you can play it straight too. I look forward to seeing more anyway. Far too early to write it off imo.

Co-op will be there too, so that could be fun.

I loved the first two games and Case Zero/West, but this really isn't doing anything for me. :/

Yeah, the wording was exclusive this holiday, so, it's almost certainly either a 6 or 12 month exclusive. Should see a PS4 port in mid-late 2014.

Now that could mean what you think, or it could means it launches this holiday and it's exclusive to Xbox One. We will see.

Microsoft showed off the first gameplay footage from Dead Rising 3 during its E3 Press Conference. It will be exclusive to Xbox One

It'll probably end up on PC at least.

The other platforms can keep it.

Maybe someone else is paying to publish the next proper Dead rising game.
