Background

A mysterious serial murder occurs in Greenvale, a small town in North America surrounded by beautiful nature.

FBI agent York sets out with his "friend" Zach to face the case.

Spend time with the town-people, soak yourself into the nature and the truth will gradually become clear. When you finally get to the truth, you'll find it difficult to leave Greenvale.

Has this been confirmed as the director's cut?

I understand it is not the Directors Cut, but some of the HUD is?

Nice OT Jawa. I'm going to hold out for the audio issues to be patched and then pick it up on physical with a bit of luck. It can go with my PS3 copy and my FK coffee mug that my mate got me for my last birthday!

It's only the DX edition I have played on PS3... so what will the Switch version be missing out on?

I'm also planning on picking it up physical

Yeah, I had it on 360 but then got the DC version on the PS3. The DC version tightened up the controls from the orginal 360 version (albeit they remained "quirky") and made some DLC available; a few additional outfits and vehicles which, alongside looking cool, gave various buffs in terms of energy, firepower and speed. It's a shame - and a bit odd - that they don't appear to be included in the Switch version, but they don't really impact the gameplay too much anyway. Maybe they'll appear as DLC in a while.

There was also a different framing device for the story. The DC had the story being told by an elderly version of a certain character. I don't think this was the case with the OG version. I could be wrong as i have only played the PS3 version.

I'd forgotten about that, kaz! Hmmn... looking at the Switch version, I believe the start matches the PS3 take. Maybe it's a mixed version of the previous entries!

Thats what i suspect too.

Only with Deadly Premonition would we not really know what we are buying... It seems very apt.

I really regret not keeping hold of my copy of Deadly Premonition for PS3. Bloody scalpers online are now asking upwards of £40 for a copy.

I won’t be buying the Switch version (still got it on 360 and PS3), but I’m delighted about there being a sequel.

Is the controls any good? I don’t mind cheesy story, cheesy gameplay but cheesy controls is a big no no.

Controls are fine if I remember correctly.

This game has one of the best soundtracks of all time. Whenever i hear that main theme tune to DP i get goosebumps.

Yeah, I've been looking as well, guys, but nothing yet. To be honest I don't think I'm going to make it through today without downloading it. I am desperate to play it!
