More Deathloop would be awesome, there's a hell of a lot more that could be done with some of the characters/concepts.

Just started this.

First impression's very good. Love the style and I don't know much about the story and I'm already really intrigued. Menu's were a little confusing at first but sure they will make more sense over time. Did the first area. Tried to sneak it...failed, ended up dying a few times and having a few shootouts but managed to make it to the next section. Looking forward to playing more.

Neat. I don' think the game will do much for me (I thought Prey and Dishonored were a bit shite), but I'm eager to try this for free.

What exactly was bad about Dishonored?

Prey I can understand as it takes its damn time...

Anyway I'm really looking forward to this, I've been playing the newly patches XIII and it feels thematically similar to this.

Out 20th September on Xbox/Game Pass.

- Free Golden Loop update; new weapons, new enemies, and new upgrades.
- Extended ending.
- Cross platform matchmaking.

Wow. Once again playing it cool for a year pays off. That sounds like a pretty cool update - I seem to recall the ending being heavily criticised by many.

Will definitely give it a try now - I expect these updates will generate a bit of fresh buzz around the title.

I wonder if they’re deliberately waiting until after the Statey Funes.

Is this content exclusive or will PS get an update?

There was nothing wrong with the ending, some people just wanted every detail of the game's lore and setting explained. I'm interested in what the extended ending is though!

Cross-platform matchmaking is presumably xbox/PC? The poor matchmaking was actually the worst thing about the game, but I'm not sure it will be solved by cross-play - it's more fundamental to the multiplayer design.

I’d play it again. Superb game and my favourite from last year.

Presumably the update will go to all platforms. The ending was a little unsatisfactory (if you wanted something in particular to happen!) but I get it. See what they do with the new one.

The new stuff is for all platforms apparently.

Probably. We all know that the only thing the Queen hated more than a live Nintendo Direct was Deathloop content drops.
