Spent nearly 2 hours doing the mission on fristad to get the picture combination. Managed to diffuse the reactor and took the visionary out in her room with a knife :toot:

Twice in a row now :x This time I fully quit out of the game, so strawberry float knows what's going on. I've had one of those when I first got the console, but none since then, but now I've started this I've had all sorts of problems. Seems like too much of a coincidence.

Anyway, I've now opened the love nest pump house (ooo er!) With the pictograms, but because I'd killed fia in that loop, neither her or the bloke were there. I can now see I need to flood the place to drown them both. The last visionary lead story chain j need to follow is now wengie and trying to find a other way to get her.

Does your PS5 do a rebuild database thing when these crashes happen?

You might want to disable rest mode entirely unfortunately

Yes. The controller won't turn it on, so I have to press the console power button twice.

I haven’t finished my first loop yet! I DID find a gun that 1-shot kills people though, which is handy. Was stroking my chin at how to get into some sort of armoury at the…Complex, needing 4 batteries. I have a feeling I’ll be back here quite a bit so not panicking just yet.

Don't worry about that stuff too early on, just look for notes or listen in to conversations and you'll open up traceable hints to look out for later on when you've got access to more things.

I did the armoury bit on the first loop and I think it glitched one of the secondary leads because it doesn't expect you to get something in there at that point!

I've now got the complete chain of events set up, so I can go for the end game next.

Before I do that though, I've got some arsenal slab threads left to finish, so I'd like to get to the end of those at least before going for the ending.

I've definitely done a few sections out of the 'correct' order through general exploration, as triggering one lead then back filled about 3 panels before it which would have then lead up to the one I did.

Yeah it's pretty good at handling you doing stuff out of order which is nice.

There's a fair amount of other optional stuff you can investigate as well that isn't tracked by leads. I think I actually had more fun with some of the stuff that you can just discover and play about with on your own because it isn't so guided as the main leads

My approach up until now has been to explore loads when I first get to a location, then on repeat visits at different times, look for something tracked to do, turn off all markers in the hud and explore again. I've found a lot of things that way.

I've still got the classpass to take to Updamm for example.

I found something really odd yesterday, just through a door I decided to randomly try, something about a ritual involving 3 pipes. What on Earth? Then something about fireworks, then something else…I hope this all starts to make a bit more sense.

The pipe thing doesn't ring a bell, maybe I've missed that one.

Buff don't read these - things off the top of my head that aren't tracked but I need to investigate:
1. By Cole's apartment there's a door with 3 locks on, I don't know what to do with that yet. Investigation to come!
2. At low tide at Fristad rock, there's a hidden room with 3 locks, again I don't know what to do with this yet.
3. I need to save the mask maker, so I can then go to his shop and see what's in there.

Can't wait to play it again

FYI: The pipes thing Buff is talking about is the same thing as the three locks

There's loads of cool bits to play about with off the main leads - I do wonder how much the average player bothered with though, in this day and age of gamers just following markers and doing what they're told

Getting big FOMO vibes when I’m playing the game right now which I hate  Arkane love annoying me with locked doors and other cryptic gooseberry fool.

Also, I'll just quietly move around this level, keep out trouble, kill this visionary and be out before anyone knows I'm there!

This is why I've always had the markers off, I don't want to be guided by anything other than clues or conversations (I love overhearing someone talk about something in a level, then going to find it myself). I've used the quest threads to suggest a place to go next, but once I'm there I tend to go off and explore as much as I can, leading to things like figuring out the mask guy is the one that gets lowered on the hook, so you need to be quick taking out the visionary and stopping him getting lowered in to the gas.
