I'm intrigued to play this but my main problem is I couldn't get into Metal Gear Solid 5, but I loved the previous games of the Metal Gear Solid series.

I'm not sure whether if this game is for me or not. :(

It’s a very slow game. I was the same as you initially.

The story is batshit insane, but at least I got most of what it’s implying so far. It’s much more clearer than what you get in MGS2, so far. No doubt it will get much more confusing as I play it further.

I’m not rushing myself with this, as I don’t want to be bored of it quickly like I did for MGSV. I’m dipping in and out with this title, playing Uncharted 1 remaster on crushing difficulty for example at the same time.

It’s unique, and totally different from what I had played before.

It’s a very hard title to recommend that’s for sure. I knew some of my mates wouldn’t like it, so I restrained myself from recommending it to them but I said it’s a good game but it’s not for everyone.

Do you like slow paced films, BOR? If so, then you may like it.

The game is absurd that sometimes it made me chuckle. And it can be tense at times. The most difficult decision I had to made is can I make it with all those extra cargo lying about, abandoned by the other porters?

Either way, I liked the game so far.

Cheers for this.

Depends on my mood for the slow paced films. I think I will wait a bit longer for this and to see if the price will drop soon. I then could grab it and give it a chance.

I finally finished chapter 2.

I’m having a lot of fun, making deliveries. I had to stop myself and progressed the story.

As soon I’m on chapter 3, I went back and made more deliveries.

Question, I keep hearing people mention a specific line of dialogue in the game that is bad or somewhat controversial, anyone have any clue what it is?

Doesn't sound dissimilar to me, I am 15 hours in and just reached Port Knot City :toot:

Did everyone find Ludens Fan/Geoff Keighley in the first region?

Is that the small building on mountain? If so, I went there and there's nobody there. I can't even access the terminal there.

That's the one. You should be able to find some lost cargo lying around to be delivered there - once you do that it'll open up.

There is a whole cut-through behind it over the mountains and through to the incinerator which makes for a very cool delivery route back to capital knot city - and one I think that could get easily missed!

Got that terminal up and running thanks.

I went back to the City Port and carried out a few of the story missions. After making links to their terminals, suddenly there are actual roads popping up, and I contributed to making some roads. It shot up my rankings a lot.

And just made my first drone. Didn’t expect that, as I expected a flying drone.

This game is definitely in my top 10 games for this year.

No idea to be honest, even the female characters are well written in this. There is a scene with a character in her undies but for once it's actually with a purpose and is a powerful scene.

The first post-release patch for Hideo Kojima’s deliver ’em up Death Stranding has been fed into PlayStation 4 download queues today, but what does update 1.05 actually do?

Weighing in at just over 1GB, update 1.05 has a single bullet point in its patch notes:

Various performance improvements

Just beaten the huge boss from the trailer. Story is stepping up, as are the performances. I'd go as far to say it's the best acted videogame I've played.

Episode 6 started.

Well it should be, it must have the most expensive cast ever assembled by some margin.

How much time have you put into the game? I think I'm on around 25hrs or so and still on Chapter 3. Just visited the Junk Dealer for the first time. I'm assuming the chapters get shorter as you seem to be getting through them more quickly now?

I took the long way around to avoid the bloody mules near the farm and end up in two terminal areas that I can’t access just yet.

Not worth it as I depleted my stamina trying to cross the big ass river. :slol:

I think I'm about 30 hours.

I'm really just doing that main story stuff at the minute and not doing side stuff as I've got a lot of stuff unlocked and most of the main upgrades are unlocked through story progress.

Don't know how many hours I am on but I'm still working my way through Episode 2. Keep bloody picking up lost cargo whenever I see it :fp:

I wish Mules were actually more of a threat. It suffers a bit similarly to MGSV in that if you choose to just stand and fight, you can wipe them all pretty simply.

I'm a bit concerned BTs are the same, but they are tense enough encounters that I can buy into the illusion of danger even if mechanically it's probably not really there.

I found Mules do get tough as they are in bigger numbers and some have different equipment. BTs are pointless just get caught, kill the boss in about 5 seconds with grenades and collect all the crystals. Easy and quick way of dealing with them. So easy as you get loads of grenades from resting and once you unlock the grenade pouch you can store a staggering amount and they are not lost when you go to the other side.

The real difficulty from the game comes from the geography, which I think is the intent.

Escaping Mules with a heavy load and big group of them after you is very tense and actually more thrilling than some of the BT scrapes I've been in, but honestly the combat sections aren't that bad against the Mules now with the bola gun. As for the rest of the gameplay it's an utter blast, just exploring the world finding loads of lost cargo and adding it to your load is addicitive just like all the various side deliveries. The story is dam top notch too and is really well written, Fragile is a great female character and I'm incredibly interested to learn more are Mads Mikkleson character.

So glad I never listen to the negative reviews as this may actually be in my top 5 games of the year.

The Bola gun is just very effective. I have to say throwing cargo is super satisfying though!
