So you can throw number twos at those pesky BTs.

No seriously. Poop extracts grenades. Named Grenade No 2.

And the shower water: chirals!

Yeah chapter 3 opens up so much handy new equipment and upgrades that you'll be so glad you have.

You're missing the gist of the Death Stranding/Days Gone portion of the article there; the gist being that, It's the second biggest exclusive and the second biggest new IP released this year. That's pretty good for such an oddball of a game.

What's general opinion of this?

I'm intrigued to play this but my main problem is I couldn't get into Metal Gear Solid 5, but I loved the previous games of the Metal Gear Solid series.

I'm not sure whether if this game is for me or not. :(

In an interview with Italian publication Tgcom24 published on the release day, Hideo Kojima had the chance to discuss the early reception of critics. While the average score was quite high, there were some low scores as well, coming mostly from US publications. Kojima attributed this to their preference for first-person shooter games, whereas Death Stranding, in his own words, 'flies higher'.

I must say that the game received rave reviews, especially in Europe and Japan. Here in the United States, however, we have had stronger criticisms. Perhaps it is a difficult game to understand for a certain type of critic and audience. Americans are great fans of first-person shooters and Death Stranding isn't one, it flies higher.

I always try to create new things and disputes and discussions are fine, but it must be said that the Italians or the French have a different artistic sensibility that allows them to appreciate this kind of very original product, not only in video games but also in cinema.

That's the worst thing I've ever read. That's some genuinely horrific gooseberry fool right there.

It’s a very slow game. I was the same as you initially.

The story is batshit insane, but at least I got most of what it’s implying so far. It’s much more clearer than what you get in MGS2, so far. No doubt it will get much more confusing as I play it further.

I’m not rushing myself with this, as I don’t want to be bored of it quickly like I did for MGSV. I’m dipping in and out with this title, playing Uncharted 1 remaster on crushing difficulty for example at the same time.

It’s unique, and totally different from what I had played before.

It’s a very hard title to recommend that’s for sure. I knew some of my mates wouldn’t like it, so I restrained myself from recommending it to them but I said it’s a good game but it’s not for everyone.

Do you like slow paced films, BOR? If so, then you may like it.

The game is absurd that sometimes it made me chuckle. And it can be tense at times. The most difficult decision I had to made is can I make it with all those extra cargo lying about, abandoned by the other porters?

Either way, I liked the game so far.

What I've played so far I've enjoyed. Totally different to the majority of games I'm currently playing or even played. It's a beauty to look at and I've actually enjoyed traversing the environment overloaded with loot :toot:

Currently sleeping under a cliffside because of the pissing time fall rain :x

Which doesn't look like it's going away anytime soon so best wake Sam up and crack on with the delivery.

I'm sat at work wishing I could be back home playing it, so yes it's definitely got its teeth in me. I'm in chapter 2 still, I now have the trike and am taking my time doing some side missions and exploring (I spent an hour last night just putting up ladders around Capital Knot City seeing where I could get up onto). People have said push on through to chapter 3, and while my girlfriend is already there so I know some of what's coming I'm happy taking my time as it's already plenty engaging enough.

I'm all about the shared world constructions and the like. I used to play a persistent browser-based game called Shintolin, which had a stone age setting and had players building settlements, roads and other buildings on a single shared server. Walking along paths worn down by others and picking up lost loot in the wilderness reminds me quite unexpectedly of that game

Been playing it for about 5 hours now and I'm currently nearing the end of Chapter 2, and so far I'm really enjoying it. It's a differnt sort of game that won't click with everyone, but I've enjoyed just wandering about and exploring the world. The whole social system is really well implemented and makes the game feel really alive and that you're not alone in your journey.

The upgrades and the pace at which they are given out is perfect. I've got a few weapons now and a few very interesting core upgrades that will make bosses fear me.

I'm currently building a road from the north to the south. I've managed to do that last couple of bits myself and its great to see other people benefiting from my shiny motorway.

An almost impossible game to review as it's going to be a love it or hate it game. Personally I'm loving it and I have so many games to play instead but this is all I want right now.

Also the fact you can save at any time is great as I can make progress and not worry about having to rush to a cut scene or safe zone.

It’s pleasing to see everyone on here enjoying it, I must admit I was a bit worried it would get mauled but fan reaction seems to be much more toward the positive side of the review spectrum. I look forward to playing it, hopefully at Christmas.

"This game is too deep for you *sips Monster(TM) Energy Drink* it flies higher than simple videogames *muffled Geoff Keighley dick-sucking noises intensify* and it's not my fault if people are Philistines and can't appreciate my film..I mean videogames.

Wow, that has to be up there with David Cage for sheer pretentiousness. I was thinking of finally getting round to MGS, but I think I'll stick to the Yakuza games for my dose of Japanese weirdness, thanks.

I find it amusing watching people playing this but I'm not sure if I would enjoy playing it. It's very intriguing though.
