You found the Ring of Avarice yet, increases souls earned by 20% should help out a bit more as well

There's that spell that increases the amount of souls too. It's a bit gooseberry fool, though.

Thought it was bit pricey when I saw it for sale (though I think it can also be found as loot too), but now that souls are so easy to get I may pay wots'er face another visit. Ta for the reminder!

Thanks to the Storm Beast which appears as you leave the room/passage with the Archstone, I've added another 1k+ to the Reaper run :mrgreen:

I think you can find the ring at the bottom of the tower thing near the start of 3-2 (after you have opened the wait to the boss so you can actually walk around the bottom)

Ostrava died but I have no idea where. No mausoleum key for me. I opened the gate and saved him from the soldiers and the RE Knight, he then gave me a clear stone and walked off. After that I didn't see him anywhere, not even as a corpse as I looted *everything* after I killed the Blue Dragon. First chance I get in NG+ I'm gonna brain him.

Only have Tower and Valley levels left to do now.

Once you've saved him, he goes to a little alleyway on the left at the top of the stairs. It can be quite easy to miss him. I'm sure the key is still obtainable if you go back into the level and find where he spawns at the gate. The key should be there somewhere.

I just strawberry floating knew there had to be a little alcove/side street around there for you to squirrel yourself away (possibly from the Blue Dragon), but I never saw it. Will have a look in a second. Ta again, Maf!

Searched for him all over but had zero luck (including that little area at the top of the steps). So I brained him in NG+ :mrgreen:

Yup, first game finished. Don't think I'll fully finish NG+ I'll instead pick and choose a few levels (palace, tunnels and shrine) and do those in one go. Will then move on to another game (other games! Not played anything bar Demon's Souls for about two or three weeks) and hopefully come back to DS later down the line.

D'you know what DS reminds me of? MGS 4. With both games, on the first playthrough, you spend an age doing everything as meticulously as possible (such as movements of the character) so as you don't strawberry float up. But then on subsequent playthroughs you just blitz through everything lickty split.
Finished Shrine of Storms super quick and am all the way up to Tower Knight in the Palace. Will try and do Tunnels in one sitting later tonight.
