I did have Killzone 2 for a while, but traded it while it was worth something. I get most multiplatform stuff on the 360 as I have a Bluetooth head set thing but it feels weird and its hard to work.

I do think that PS3 would benefit from a simple headset system that comes in the box with the console.

i recommend the logitech usb headset, works brilliant for me and easy to setup also it works on the pc for games as well.ill be getting this when its released as well samoza so there should be , you, me, suzz and silva playing this.

This arrived yesterday. Only had time for a quick go but it definitely has that "one more go" factor to it..

On the first proper level, I died a bunch of times and had to fight back to get to where I was but despite the repetition and slight frustration of dying, you still want to keep playing and get further.. it's weird.

I spent ages fighting into the castle, up a load of stairs before getting to a guy that just killed me instantly so next time, I got to the same area and went a different way, beat a tough enemy then went through a few more doors and got blown up.. third go, found a third way, fought my way through a tower only to end up near where I started - doh!

Also, I'm not sure whether it's the game or another player that did it but..

In the hub place where you enter levels, there's a blue glowy guy sitting down you can talk to. A message appeared on the floor saying "attack" right in front of him. So, thinking it was some advice and needed doing, I proceeded to slap him with my sword.. he then got up and killed me. Now whenever I go back there, he's waiting for me and runs in to attack me. Even if he kills me, when I respawn he's straight on in there again. Oops.

Just read the play test of this on GC this morning, up to this point I wasn't overly interested. But what I read sounds great. I particularly liked the fact that the game is hard and your only help comes from other on-line players, who can kill you instead of helping you if they want

This could be the first game to tempt me to play online seriously, assuming there is a UK release and I can find someone else to play with me. :(

Had a proper go on this lastnight, really getting into it now.

Finished 1-1 and can honestly say I've never felt so satisfied to have finished a first level in a game before. Awesome.

Died quite quickly in 1-2 so didn't stay "alive" for long, guess I need to get to another boss to become human again now :(

And how awesome is the dragon when it flys over? I love the fact the only warning you get is just the sound of its wings flapping before you have to leg it!

Sounds great. Can I ask where you ordered it from? I'm tempted to pick this up as it sounds like the kind of game I would love. Have seen several people sell it on Ebay, but I'm not too sure.

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA -- MAY 20, 2009 -- Atlus U.S.A., Inc., your shining knights in armor, today announced that they have secured the North American publishing rights for Demon's Souls™, a groundbreaking action RPG experience for PLAYSTATION®3 system. Beautiful, compelling, and unforgiving, Demon's Souls is the hardcore RPG experience PLAYSTATION 3 system owners have been waiting for since the platform's launch.

Revolutionary online features support your adventure like never before, presenting seamless interconnectivity that serves in every instance to enhance the single-player game. Team up with two other players in simultaneous cooperative play, working together to topple some of the game's colossal bosses, or force your way into the games of skilled players and challenge them to PvP battle. Leave hints and clues for those who will follow in your footsteps; either intentionally or through your own inadvertent demise, your bloodstains will allow your successors to view a replay of your death, hinting at how to avoid your gruesome fate. Unprecedented in its depth and subtlety, peerless in its relentlessly challenging gameplay, Demon's Souls is the ultimate action RPG.

Experience the game Eurogamer.net awarded 9 out of 10, hailing it as "absolutely compelling; dark, detailed, unforgiving, creatively cruel," and adding, "you can learn to love Demon's Souls like few other games in the world."

So where is our Euro love?

I know I can import it, but I would rather pay less in Europe. Seems importing, even from America is getting more expensive.

Seriously hyped about this game still.

PlayStation Eye Chat: Demon’s Souls
Over the last few months, Demon’s Soul’s has consistently asked-about games here on the PlayStation.Blog. That hasn’t been lost on North American publisher Atlus, who, late last week took some time to chat via the PlayStation Eye. Atlus PR Dude-and-Sometimes-Blog-Poster Aram Jabbari and Localization Guru Sammy Matsushima take on all of your Demon’s Souls questions here:

While we were busy having cookouts and watching fireworks, Atlus spent July 4th telling everyone about the release date and bundle contents for the deluxe edition of their upcoming PlayStation 3 action RPG Demon Souls.

I'm curious to see why Atlus decided to announce the release date for Demon Souls on the Fourth of July, rather than waiting two more days when everyone was back in the office. I am imagining a dramatic series of events involving a speeding bus that cannot go below 55 miles per hour or it will explode, or a bearded man in a darkened room, stroking a Persian cat as he lifts a phone receiver to his face and mutters, "issue the release" in a sinister British accent. Either way, Demon Souls is coming out on October 6th.

The game will run you $59.99, but for $10 you can score the deluxe edition, which comes with a 150-page strategy guide not available anywhere else, along with a special cover to house the game / guide combo. On top of that, fans who preorder either version will get a Demon Souls art book, which GameStop will be out of when you go to pick it up. This always happens.

It's an interesting addition to the Atlus Spoils program, but I'm used to said program adding extra swag for free. This is more of a strategy guide bundle than it is a special edition, isn't it?

Didn't get this in the end, as the seller didn't get enough stock. I think I shall wait on the US version.

Planning on getting back into this with some quality time whilst i'm off work this week. Been really busy lately and sidetracked with other games when I have had spare time but really looking forward to digging back into this and hopefully progressing a bit further. :)

Demon's Souls UK release uncertain
Atlus has announced a 6th October release for excellent and exclusive PS3 role-playing game Demon's Souls in the US. But its European whereabouts are uncertain.

"We have no plans to publish it in Europe at present," Sony - which published the game in Japan - told Eurogamer.

Similarly Tecmo KOEI, which brought Atlus series Shin Megami Tensei to Europe, told us there are "no plans" to do the same with Demon's Souls.

Of From Software's previous games, Xbox 360 exclusive Ninja Blade was delivered by Microsoft and Armored Core for Answer was a Ubisoft title.

We spoke to a Ubisoft rep who was "not aware of any plans" for the company to publish Demon's Souls here.

Nevertheless, Demon's Souls is unlikely to go without a European publisher for long, as its quality is unquestionable. Head over to our Demon's Souls review to find out much more.

Think I might wait for the US release. I don't really trust eBay these days. :(
