Claymore yeah 8-)

Shouldn't need to get hit at all on Tower Knight.
As soon as the fog clears sprint to up on of the sets of stairs then work your way round killing of all the archers. Then wait around the corner from the steps, as soon as he blasts sprint around his back and then lock the camera onto one of this feet. Then simply power attack, run backwards, power attack on both feet until he falls, running round and bashing his head when he does. If you need to heal run back up the steps and around a corner, you're un-hittable there.

Just got raped by armour spider :x

If you have a ranged attack, then Thief's Ring + standing at the end of the corridor on the left means he'll barely hit you.

Yeah I saw a message there but I'd gave my bows to stockpile for some reason

The build I completed the game the other day with:

Temple Knight
SL90
Vitality 30
Strength 26
Dexterity 16 (just enough to use Lava Bow)
Magic 16
Endurance 44
Intelligence 16
Faith 30
Luck 7

With Adjudicator's Shield +4, Blessed Mirdan Hammer +5 and complete Dull Gold Armour/Gloom Armlets. Equipped with Regenerator's Ring and Thief Ring (Cling Ring when needed). The shield, the weapon, and the ring all stack upon each other to provide an obscene amount of HP regen, and the Blessed Mirdan Hammer's attack is boosted by High Faith. The shield doesn't even have to be held - I always opt for two-handed weaponry, with the boosted Endurance stat giving me enough stamina to hit and roll, hit and roll, etc.

With this very build, I hadn't walked ten yards in 1-1 during my New Game+ when I was invaded by a Black Phantom, who saw this glowing little lady running around in gold and must have thought her easy pickings. He runs up to me, casts Death Cloud so I catch plague, and sits and watches as my HP... doesn't decrease at all, as the HP regen more than counters the effects. I walk up, bonk him over the head twice and he is but a messy stain on the floor. Oh, what a giggle I had.

Takes out the red-eyed knights in 1-4 in two hits 8-)

I've still got a bunch of boss souls I've not used yet. I better decide what to use them on before I do the last boss.

Yeah, but I won't be able to use some of them until I've locked Sage Freke and that.

How do you play through it so quickly? Its taking me ages to get anywhere, I reckon it will take me around 60-80hrs to finish at the moment.

I already finished the US version a while back, so had little trouble with most of the levels this time around. Only real sticking point was 5-2, which, really, can strawberry float off and die in a car fire.

Finally got this (turned up monday) enjoying it quite a bit, hard was a bit of an understatement.

Armour spider was easy due to the exploit mentioned in the guide

Just summoned my first blue phantom, well actually 2 in 4-2.

One died pretty early, but the other was kicking ****, made such short work of that level until the boss. I held back to observe and he went charging in and died in about two hits :fp:  I then got the **** out of there before I went the same way.

Wish I could summon a blue phantom for the 3-2 boss, but there never seems to be any blue signs.

Incidently, what do people mean when they leave a message saying "you can summon here"?

You can only summon blue phantoms at certain points in a level, usually at the very beginning and right before a boss. That message just lets you know to hang around that area and look for a summoning point, or where you can drop a Blue summoning stone yourself.

Some messages are left by the developers and I think that is one of them. You usually see it before a boss and it's just a tip that if you are stuck then you can summon a player to help you.

I didn't think you could summon blue phantoms unless they left a blue sign :?

The only god damn game on the system i thoroughly enjoyed and the god damn console packs it in right when im enjoying it the most. It couldve died at any point in the last 3 years and id have struggled to give a gooseberry fool. Playing killzone 2? Fine, go ahead and die, see if i give a strawberry float. Resistance 2? Youre having a laugh. Oh no, it waits til im 100% engrossed in demons souls to strawberry floating roll over and play dead. strawberry float it. Cant afford to fix it, cant afford a new one. Its either a ps3 or a holiday....so bollocks to the ps3 :x

Are you sure it's the blu-ray drive? If it is then it shouldn't be too expensive to get a new one (someone in the hardware failure thread just today said they bought one for £40) and it's easy enough to fit it.
