I looked on ebay for a replacement BRD, but i dont know how that chap got one for 40 notes unless it was stolen, because every one of them on ebay was going for upwards of 160 euro. I honestly dont know if i can justify the cost o buying a new one, or paying that much for a replacement drive, when the only game i want to play on the strawberry floating console is DS.

I've got a blu-ray drive you can have for cheap if you like. It's a Japanese PS3 so it might mean the drive is region locked but that wouldn't affect games. Anyway if you're interested you could have it for £30 + whatever postage costs.

What rotten luck :(

It was Akai who was getting on with the replacement parts. Give him a shout for some advice, maybe?

Ahhhh...right so. I only own 1 blu ray anyway, and its casino royale
How much would you be looking for for p&p to ireland Satriales?

Just whatever the post office charge. If you're interested I'll take my PS3 apart tomorrow and get an idea of size/weight and then find out exactly how much it will cost.

so i started it last night, i died, i died, explored some more and then died, got quite fair into the level and then um died and had to restart. Finally managed to get to the boss of 1-1 the Phalanx and beat it in the first go woop (i know it's probably the easiest boss)

But despite dying on numerous occasions and losing all those precious souls i'm absolutely loving this game! Didn't really know what class to start with so I decided to use a Templar Knight. Any hints or tips I need for a noob?

Don't listen to Mafro or Rog :P

Apart from that kill the dragon on 1-2 and take his loot. After 1-1 the games starts to get much harder and you will definately be facing much tougher bosses than Phalanx.

I recommend the Blueblood Sword for him. It's small, so you should be able to get about 5-6 hits in before your stamina gets too low.

Where is the cheapest place to pick this up? I'm working on a self imposed budget of £15 per game these days. Just wondering if it's within my budget constraints yet. :P

Yes?

Here is a list of the cheapest online prices:

Good luck trying to find it for £15 though.

Thanks Brer, Mafro. Looks like I'm off on a hunt for the broken sword.

Yeah it's easy to get. Just watch out for the black phantom nearby, I wore the Thief's Ring just in case, since I was in a hurry.

Had a pretty productive couple of sessions on this. Bosses for 4-2 & 5-1 were history yesterday evening and 3-2 fell this morning. The 4-2 boss was first attempt and was so easy it was ridiculous, I actually thought at one point surely it can't be this straight forward. 5-1 was also first attempt and was also very straight forward.

The 3-2 boss was much harder, but I finally beat it (or them) in a straight up fight. Along with the 2-2 boss by far the hardest in the game so far.

At the moment I have my Winged Spear at +6, is the scrapping spear worth it? Doesn't seem to be that powerful to me. What about the Meat Cleaver?

Scraping spear is only really useful in PvP. The meat cleaver is great, but you need to have high strength to use it. It's pretty slow (it's actually a hammer, even though it looks like a sword) but the damage it deals out is more than worth it.

Won't bother then.

They're dropping like flies, bosses 3-3 & 4-3 down. That weapon on 4-3

Are the God's Wraith & AMF miracles worth it? Quite tempted by both.

Finally got a copy of this game. Just about to start the game proper. I've gone a hunter.

I'm going to be in tears by 9pm, aren't I??

You'll be in tears by quarter to eight!

Did King Allant second try with the bluebook sword and brer's lightweight strategy. Worked great, the sword is a nimble beast.

And finished. Was expecting the last boss to be sadistic. Great game but it's the revolutionary deserver of 10s some places tout it as.

But I am going straight back into it :D
