It's at the end of one of the missions on Titan. You go into a room and there's a Hive Knight fighting a Fallen Captain. If you just kill the Knight then the Captain doesn't attack you, says something in his language and just teleports away.

Oh right. Don’t remember that at all, but I was skittling through the story at a fair pace. Just loved it.
Can’t wait to get stuck back in once this Forsaken comes out, these colour coded shader wankers need to have a can and remember how good the game is to play.

btw I was reading that big article Kotaku did three years ago about the problems Destiny 1 had during development and this stuck out:

In March of 2014, Bungie rebooted Comet (this was the codename for The Taken King), sources say. The team ultimately decided to focus it around a single major map—the Hive ship that had been cut from vanilla Destiny—as well as a new public space on Mars, complete with strikes and a new raid. (That entire last Mars chunk was later cut and passed to Activision subsidiary High Moon Studios to develop for Destiny’s full-sized 2016 sequel, a source said. They’re helping Bungie make the game.)

So Warmind was originally part of The Taken King but it was cut from that and moved into Destiny 2, then presumably cut from that and sold as DLC :lol: Surely that's not all High Moon Studios have been working on since 2014?

Crazy the amount of stuff that was cut from the game initially and sold off later. Makes you wonder how much of this new DLC will be new but surely they've ran out of cut content to reuse by now?

I would love to finish Destiny 2 Raid as it’s only the last thing I need to achieve but if they are making Destiny 3.

I've still not done any of the D2 raids :lol: Not really bothered about finishing Leviathan and thought the "raid lair" thing they did with Curse of Osiris and Warmind just seemed like a lazy way to not do proper new raids and just re-use assets. I love the design of the buildings around Rasputin and stuff so having a whole raid in that style would have been really cool.

The raids are good, tbf. The lairs are quite short but what is there is mechanically unique and fun to do. The main raid is interesting but the setting and traversal isnt as fun as Taken King for instance. The underbelly doesnt compare to Oryx's ship. There doesnt seem to be any onus to explore anything.

Just watched the whole stream.

New campaign sounds good an I love the look of the new reef patrol zone. The fallen are my favourite race in the game and I like the new Mad Max-style thing this faction has.

Getting rid of the two primary and one heavy weapon load out and letting you equip whatever three weapons you want is great in theory, but the ammo drops will strawberry float this unless they do something about that.

Not arsed about the new bow weapon but we'll see.

Bringing back random rolls will please a lot of people.

New supers look nice but it looks like Warlock got by far the best ones? (That class always seems to get the best stuff anyway) Titan basically gets one that's a bigger hammer instead of a little one and a Fist of Havoc that's just a fancy flip. I hope these new supers will be an extra node with new melee abilities and grenades too.

That Gambit mode sounds fun but I'd just like a horde mode without any PvP element at all, thanks.

The collections thing for gear is something they needed day 1 and try triumph thing looks like the Rise of Iron record book that they weirdly decided not to do again for D2. Saves having to google what weapons drop from where and what stuff I'm missing.

A new proper raid and not just another lair :D I hope it does what Taken King did and have it be the finale of the story. More bosses and less puzzles too going from what they said. The raid location is going to be some sort of patrol area too?

Had no idea what they were on about with the Annual Pass, Deej literally can't talk like a normal human being and always sounds like a weird PR marketing robot no matter what he says. Given what he was on about he made it sound like they were doing away with story DLC completely, but from what others have said it sounds like they are just dealing back on the amount of cutscenes and are telling more story through playing the actual game. Don't think I'll be buying that yet until they mention more of what content we're actually getting. At least we know we will be getting a lot more new content than we did in the whole year between The Taken King and Rise of Iron :dread: iirc all we got during that time was a "new" strike with recycled areas and all those shitty PvP live events while PvE players were left with strawberry float all new stuff.

The next few months of Destiny are looking pretty damn good. Forsaken and the big patch coming with it are very encouraging. The annual pass sounds like an improvement over the current model. The campaign in Destiny has always been the most disposable aspect of the game and the narrative in Warmind and Curse of Osiris was terrible so shifting the focus from that onto stuff that actually matters longer term and getting content out at what appears to be a faster pace is a smart move. We'll have to wait and see what the scope of each one actually is but getting new activities and rewards every three months or so sounds great.

I think they may have seen the negative feedback from DLC 1&2 and decided that those types of DLC need a change.
The main problem is that just like you people are going to wait before buying the annual pass because DLC 1&2 were so disappointing and I think that by announcing it now they spoiled a lot of the good news that the main expansion will bring.
I think they should have just shown the Reef stuff and gone into it more and let people decide if they want to come back to the game for that and then worry about trying to convince those people to stay for longer. Now is not a good time to tell people it's going to cost another £60 to continue playing this game.

I think the Forsaken expansion looks great and if the rest of our old team get's back together I'll join them as as a social game Destiny is always worth a go but I'm unsure if they will.

I noticed there's still nothing on the roadmap about selectable strikes. No joke it was around two weeks after Warmind came out before I actually played one of the new ones from that expansion.
