I just can't be arsed investing a lot of time into a game where the devs have proved time and time again they don't know what they're doing half the time.

That's fair enough. I suppose I care less about the devs and more about whether or not it's fun at any given time.

It wasn't last season, it is this season. I hardly played Hunt, I maxed out my season pass in 2 weeks this time. And like I say, the high level stuff is where the real good stuff lies, and Bungo definitely knows what they're doing there.

I've done a couple of nightfalls on hero difficulty with randoms (last week the cosmodrome one was fairly easy to do). I think it is the right balance of difficulty for me.

I am yet to play the gambit mode, saw a couple of tutorials and it looks really complicated, but everything in this game looks complicated until you do some stuff over and over and get used to the maps and what to expect.

Hero difficulty is as far as I go too, anything else is just stress.
Most people still don’t know how to play Gambit and it’s been a thing for about 4 years now :lol:

When was the last time Gambit actually got a new map? I know they removed two but I don't think they've actually added new ones since one of the seasons after Forsaken?

They added a Titan one and another one, and nothing since.
EDIT - yeah nowt since Forsaken. There are 4 maps now.

Yeah, I think up to a certain level you can play pve with randoms that have an idea what to do and you can strategize a bit without talking or not strategize at all (which is my bar), but after that bar you need a good fireteam and communication.

I get put off by Gambit because I dont want to ruin the experience for others.... but this week I might give it a go

Trust me dude, being a bit confused about how it works isn’t a big problem...most of the randoms I get teamed with also look like they don’t have a clue either :lol:

Lol. Bungie did nothing to address the match fixing thing from last week, restarted Trials, everyone did it again, Trials gets disabled.

Gave it a go this weekend and i tought it would be more complicated, its a nice little mode to start getting into pvp (or to get some kills as the other guardians are too busy doing their thing :slol:

Dont really know how these sunset mechanisms are and how they work but I read it will not be a thing anymore so im not really fussed.

Tried doing the Warrior quest on Europa to get the Cloudstrike drop, did it about 30 times, no drops. Is there something you have to do to increase chances for drops, or they just drop randomly? Also what would be the best way to increase score in nightfall strikes? I managed to 100,000+ this week's event but only through being carried by others on heroic. I know there is a timer that over 15 minutes will start decreasing your multiplier but apart from that dont know what actually increases your score

Nightfalls are entirely about kills and speed. You can get 100k for some on Heroic, but more often than not you need to do Legend or Master to guarantee it (getting 100k at those levels is usually a given unless you're super super slow).

Last week's nightfall was very easy to get 100k+ on heroic, this week was a struggle but I managed to do it as one of the team got a 42k+ something and carried the others. I did manage to get 30 ish tho. Funny thing I felt I was really carried and only focused on not dying and trying to revive were possible to avoid time wasting.

I did other runs were I felt I was doing super good and only scored under 20k, so I tought maybe dying was bringing the score down.

The seasonal challenge this week, about ranking up 5 times in Gambit, is straight-up not working for me. If you’re aiming to do it, I’d check the progress bar to see if your rank ups are registering.

it's FULL ranks, not sub ranks (so Heroic -> Heroic II = zip. Heroic -> Fabled = 1 teeny tiny pip). So yeah, have fun playing 100s of hours of gambit I guess
