- Witch Queen delayed due to increased scope - Further, un-named expansion announced for release post Light Fall. This will be the conclusion of the current Destiny story arc - Sunsetting is being...sunset - Powel level raising by 10 instead of 100 per non-expansion season - Big changes for Stasis and Light powers incoming - Complete Trials redesign -Witch Queen armour reveal
Next season:
- Vault of Glass - Ada1 - she's the new Transmog vendor - shaders are permanent unlocks, not usables like now - Crossplay - Stasis weapons
Yes the headline is bad but man that's an incredible update

Im on ps4 but thanks for the help I just need to start using a bit more strategy when dealing with these sections. Its not breaking the game for me so far as I have a lot to improve myself

Yeah, I'm hoping that'll be the case. Still haven't done Deep Stone Crypt as I want to do it blind and chances of finding a lfg group who isn't all "KWTD be good 30 minute run" is low. And if course, VoG next season.
I have been coasting along as a free to play player just doing crucible and nightfalls. The latest update sounds great though, gives me renewed confidence. Honestly I'm mostly excited about Ada returning and making destiny fashion souls a reality.
Syburner's Oath with some of the artefact mods is brilliant for the Battlegrounds. I got the catalyst from a strike the other day so levelling up that shouldn't take too long either.
What's going on with Trials? Saw on Twitter they disabled it for the remainder of the weekend, thought it was just one of the usual dumb glitches but apparently people were doing some weird thing with emblems and character switching to get flawless with 0 wins?

They honestly need to just bin Trials at this point. Hiding some of the game's best loot behind a mode not even those who play regularly enjoy is...bad game design.
This week's table mission is a lot longer than usual, 11 steps.
There's also a bunch of new dialogue and collectibles on Glykon and the plot there is getting super interesting.
For those who can't be arsed running it again:
There's a separation forming in the lore between "The Darkness" and a specific entity that's using the Darkness (similar to The Light/The Traveler compared to Guardians). The latter is apparently what spoke to Calus, who has now gone completely mad and has disappeared and/or merged with the Darkness
Still haven't gone in to that exotic mission yet (been away the past few weekends when my mates play).
Reckon it's doable alone now I'm getting over 1300 light? I'm not a masochist and wouldn't have tried The Whisper or Zero Hour on my own, but heard this is much more doable. My mates babble over the mic too, so thought it might be better for atmosphere on my own.
Time to head into Competitive again too, I guess. Got really into it in Arrivals but haven't been in since BL and the stasis stuff. I find there's just been too much to do recently to dabble into PVP, and there just aren't as many rewards stashed behind that.
I didnt try it again, from last week, I think at 1260 I was underpowered, so Ill try to get in the 1280 region before attempting again (1273 atm).
Being a noob to the game I focused on finishing the beyond light campaign and some bosses on that gave me a good enough challenge, got the stasis subclass as well but it seems like this campaign keeps on giving me quests, which I dont mind at all as I like doing missions on my own.
At over 1300 it's a piece of piss tbh. There are two sticky bits where deaths may occur (one of them is the final boss room which can be a bit...glitchy) but the rest is far easier than, say, a Legendary Lost Sector.
Definitely worth running solo.

Honestly the best bit of the Beyond Light campaign comes after you've technically finished it. All the Stranger missions are far more interesting than the Eramis stuff.

Oh Im loving them no doubt (the variks stuff not so much), the game keeps overwhelming me with things to do, and in the meantime I get time to discover more about the lore of the game. I would say the money on the beyond light expansion + season pass was money well spent and opened the game so much for me.

That's great to hear! It really is a struggle to get into, but once you're there there's some real meat to get into.
I highly, highly recommend My Name Is Byf's channel. He can be annoyingly poe-faced sometimes, and his voice can grate, but he's Destiny's unofficial Loremaster and his videos go really deep into the story of the game.
