Solstice starts next week, so I'm girding myself for another disappointing seasonal event, but there's still a lore-book left too.

If Bungie really are going to try and maintain the fake-out that would be...annoying, and not something they've done before. Remember, Season of the Chosen's storyline wrapped up a good few weeks before the season technically ended to make way for the Guardian Games. I imagine something similar will happen this season with Solstice.

I'm at 95 on the season pass so just juggling for triumps and looking for good armor rolls - just learned how to try for multiple 100 sets

Can we keep datamined stuff completely out of the thread please. I swear I've tried every strawberry floating week not to have the new content spoiled and even that's been impossible, so I really don't want to know anything from leaks or datamines whether it proves you right or not. Not even hints as to what they contain. God, why would you want to know?

I think sometimes people want to know in order to judge whether it's worth the seasonal investment in terms of time. The game obviously requires maybe 50-100 hours of playtime each season minimum to get to Season Pass 100, get the title, see all the story and lore etc., so I think sometimes people want the pay off of the story early. I also think it helps maybe justify the purchase of a season in their mind.

There's also just the general idea that some people like to be in the know and can't postpone gratification once the info is out there.

It's got to be better seeing it play out in-game though rather than in text on Reddit.

It's getting worse recently too. I follow a few sub Reddits, like the main Destiny one, the Lore one (it's interesting and how I engage with a lot of the additional stories and read theories) but they've been Taken. Taken over by rampant spoilers from datamined info.

I went into a seemingly innocent reddit thread and there were open endgame spoilers for the strawberry floating Witch Queen. The Witch Queen, the yearly expansion that has no release date bar sometime in 2022!

It's gotten to a ridiculous state now, and I don't want it anywhere near this thread, especially not when it's used in a way I can easily posit the content, spoilered or no.

I think part of it is the limited time titles and secret triumphs to. People want to know if they've missed something they might only have a limited window (sometimes a week or so) to do.

e.g. I found out the answer above because people were asking about the lore page that's "missing" - is it in game and they've overlooked how to achieve it, or is it not yet released.

It would be better if the unavailable stuff said "Currently Unavailable" or similar rather than "Something YOU haven't discovered yet" (my emphasis) which makes people worry they've missed it.

I think for the seasonal titles you aren't ever locked out on completing them whilst the seasons are still active?

The only time you were locked out of titles and had to complete X by a certain date, was when they sunset some of the planets and activities, and certain things were timegated (like the Truth to Power/Mara's Throne Room stuff being every three weeks).

I'm fairly sure you can complete the Seasonal Title on the last week of the season if you wanted to (and had the time).

I'll be doing something similar come next Monday, as I've been busy studying and will finally find myself free to get involved in this season. Haven't done much bar the first two or three weeks.

Anarchy nerf incoming. I'm amazed it's taken this long, but it's a pain how they always do this. Anarchy is incredibly difficult to get (unless you're farming, 240 spoils of conquest is over 20 raids worth of currency) and it's not used in PvP much so...just let the damn thing be.

But, it is incredibly dominant so I guess I get it. But still.

I got lucky and had Anarchy drop from maybe my second run and just before that raid got sunset.

Bungie really don't like one going being the go-to DPS strategy for all raid bosses, so I can understand why they are nerfing it.

Whatever shenannagins happened on Tuesday seems to have broken Presage collectables. Was due week 3 this week (so I can be chosen!) but they're not spawning. None of the previous ones are active, and the triumphs still show as complete

Seems to be very similar to how Arrival had next to no info announced until just before launch (combined with beyond light info)

The Dreaming City is full of story and lore I never got to see or read. Did the PvE in it, but ascendant realms and stuff? Never saw it. So if the new season finishes that story arc off then I’d dig it.
