It's fantastic on the PC! The 60fps + jump in itself is wonderful, but increasing the FOV just makes it even better. Being able to play it in ultra-wide resolution just cements it for me.
I haven't had much issues with loss of players on the PC and played the recent Iron Banner with no issues and no excessive wait times. Really looking forward to Warmind, but my expectations are tempered. It'll be September before we see something really exciting! A couple of screenshots on PC

My PC falls somewhere between minimum and recommended specs. Do you think PC version would still give me a better version than the PS4?

Straight off the bat, yes! You can increase your field of view which makes it instantly better than the console versions. It's an extremely well optimised game, so performance shouldn't be an issue. Check your PM

Just like to point out that Ord rocks, hard. Ask a simple question on whether the PC version will be better than the PS4 version and he sends me a friggin' key for the PC version.
I've set this to the highest graphic setting for my display (1920 X 1200) and for the most part it stays at 60fps but so far has not dropped below low 50s. I think I'll go with that as setting it to just "high" still drops to the high 50s.

Again, Ord = awesome, or maybe Ordsome.

The default view is 85% but on changing this to 100%, didn't notice any difference. What should I see?

Yes?

Its not percent. 85deg FOV is the same as console I think. If you increase it you see more in your FOV, simple as that. You may or may not like it, but it basically just gives you more in your periphery.

I and as far as Im aware, every PC player Ive encountered, run it at max.

Bungie clearly don't give a gooseberry fool about keeping fans happy, why people are still playing this is beyond me. At this point they should just leave it and perhaps go back to supporting D1, the better game..... It won't happen of course, but I'd actually go back to D1.

It's actually interesting to see just how blind they are now and just how many fans they can alienate.

I’m not sure if it’s even about being blind but simply they cannot make what they set out to do. I have no idea how they’re going to turn this around.

What do they do? Bring in more teams? The two expansions seem an utter pisstake yet weirdly there’s a fan base that STILL enjoy it.

I think the only explanation is DLC content is set rock solidly when the develop the main game so they just can't respond to feedback even if they wanted. They may be able to tinker with small stuff but 99% of it was set 2 or more years ago and even the content of the next paid update is set so I wouldn't hold my breath for any major changes that wasn't already in the pipeline.
Even though I've paid for it and can download it now I just can't be bothered to re-install it as Destiny was for me always a multiplayer game and everyone has left :slol: .

It wouldn't surprise me if the staff are split with 95% doing Destiny 3 already with just 5% on Destiny 2.

See that's funny, because people were saying the exact same thing during Destiny 1

Got this for £20 on Black Friday, played the first couple of missions and got to level 11 and gave up too similar to the previous one. Felt more like an expansion more than anything, I need to go back and complete it but I have too many better and more interesting games to play.

I know and with the first game it was almost forgivable because it was the first game in the franchise and we all hoped they'd learn a lesson and listen to the fans who said it wasn't acceptable. Alas, they didn't listen and I suppose the blame is on us for thinking a developer with a long history may not be tone deaf but Destiny 2 has been a disaster and doesn't even have the ability of Destiny 1 to fall back on purely being a good game to cover for the lack of any meaningful input from the fans being implemented.

I'd have been happy if is was just an expansion of Destiny 1 but it really isn't.
All the parts of Destiny 1 that gave it any character has been stripped out and all we're left with is a husk of a game designed with the most casual of casuals in mind and screw anyone who wants to put in more than about 10 hours. Even the raid is terrible and on Destiny 1 the GRCade crew did the raids dozens of times as a group and it was fun every time.

Apparently this was mostly done by Vicarious Visions. The main Destiny team moved on to working on other stuff after D2 was released.

I play as part of an active clan on the PC. We lulled a little over the last month as most were waiting for the new DLC, but the clan has lit up again and most people seem to enjoy it.

I think we all acknowledge that the game isnt what it should be, but the core of it seems to keep most of us mostly engaged. We have plenty of fun with the raids. You have to remember that the encounters themselves are only part of the raid, the rest is the people you run with. If you run with a negative attitude and a pocketfull of salt then you will have a bad time.

I hate the pvp since the go fast patch because of how badly they screwed that up, but Im hopeful that with the exotic tuning and newer players as well as the season rankings there will be a more diverse pool of people to play against.

I like the addition of a lot of the 'season long' stretch targets that a few of the vendors carry now. And its novel to have new goodies in the world.

The game is flawed in a number of ways and is hugely frustrating in its approach sometimes. But people who play it arent gullible idiots. There is literally no competitor that offers the gameplay this game has.

Im not making a sales pitch here, I couldnt give a gooseberry fool if you play or not - but Im just saying there are compelling reasons for people to stick around.

I 100% agree with you the game is better with friends and if the GRCade team all decided to jump back in so would I as it's such a nice group.

I don't think I have been calling anyone gullible idiots for playing but maybe I shouldn't post in here while I'm not actively playing.

No, post all you like. I was mainly referring to the general confusion of some wondering who is still playing and why.

For all it's faults i'm still playing and enjoying it by quite a large margin. Like Falsey said, there still isn't anything quite like this out there. The campaign to Warmind may be short and a bit gooseberry fool, but it's all the other stuff that keeps me coming back.

What's the crucible like at the moment?

One thing I've never complained about is the graphics which are fantastic.
Some of the larger indoor areas are awesome with the Crota Raid from Destiny 1 being a personal highlight as it just looked so good.

I've come to realise that destiny is just one of those games that tries to do everything and succeeds at very little.

It has no real focused design philosophy.

Monster Hunter does co-op looting better
Overwatch does team based PvP better
Doom does single player FPS better

I'd rather just play those games instead.

So the second main mission of a brand new expansion with a new area takes you back to a lost sector in the EDZ where you just have to fight waves of Taken :fp:

Apparently the last two missions are the ones that are the two "new" strikes too. strawberry floating hell.

Hung Jury, The Palindrome, Outbreak Prime, Hawkmoon, Nameless Midnight, Fatebringer, Grasp of Malok, Better Devils....all incredible guns, but by strawberry float! The updated version of The Crimson may be my favourite ever gun in the whole series. I love it!
