I don’t follow this hate on people who are good at something you’re gooseberry fool at. Trials of Osiris isn’t for you, its rewards are designed for players with a discernible amount of skill, something you freely admit to not having.

I play with people who're quite good and even when I wasn't in the team they had the same problem. The game seems to have a thing where if you have 4 or more wins it somehow puts you against much much better players than you've been playing to that point. I'm happy to admit I'm not a great gamer and this mode seems to bring out the worst in the community when it comes to this particular mode.

Yes, it's been a while since I played but I played enough (hundreds of hours) of the game and this mode. I didn't say I was dogshit at the game just that I'm not someone who's going to be winning any tournaments any time soon.

I'm not angry at people for being good at the game it just annoys me slightly (enough that it makes the mode a chore to play and as it's supposed to be a game that doesn't sound great to me) that at a certain point the game seems to decide to put me and others I've played with against people that seem to use cheesy tactics.

If you don't agree that's fine.

Any PS4 folks still playing this? I just started it yesterday after loving Destiny and already feel like I’m addicted to this. :lol:

My time with it is more than likely over but it wouldn’t shock me if it ended up being my most played game on PS4.
With Activision gone, I can see the franchise dying a slow but hopefully dignified death - expect people re-downloading the game in 18 months time to play raids and gooseberry fool ‘one last time’ before it’s lost to history.

I started to do one of my missions last night to do something called Leviathan. I probably got about 20 minutes in until I Googled what was going on as I felt like I was having to cheese it. Turns out it was a raid and I’m supposed to have 5 other people with me! I’m guessing there’s no in game way of getting together a group for a raid?

When the game is good it's amazing and is fantastic with a group.
The problem is they've never been able to keep up with the pace of new content and often over promise and under deliver.
I hope Destiny 3 whenever it finally emerges can finally have quicker development tools and more importantly they stick to whatever idea they have and don't feel the need to restart development half way through as was the case with Destiny 2 from the rumours.

They don't need to do all that much with the graphics as the art style is good and the gameplay is solid enough they just need more varied content that can be changed quickly in interesting ways. This doesn't even need to mean new locations but just more things to do in them.
More random war zones with actual random enemy placements and actions as I'm sure that's not beyond next gen machines.

Destiny could be so much more than it is without all that much work and it's a bit sad to see it stagnate and only change in set ways.

There's a looking for group feature in the official Destiny app that I used to use all the time for nightfalls.

Reveal stream at 6pm today for the new season and probably the next big expansion for anyone that still cares about this

I moved over from PS4 to Xbone using that cross save thing. It moved all of my expansion purchases over, too, but when I tried to start a new character, it locked them all out. Odd.

If they manage the grand task of getting it running at 60fps on the new consoles I'll probably give it another try for a bit on whichever one I buy. The autumn expansion will have to be something on the level of Forsaken to get me to even consider it.

Looks like some sort of snow planet, Europa. The amount of quests that are in the game now is crazy but they’re all really grindy, what they need to do is add more strikes and Gambit maps to try and keep it fresh. All they ever add is guns :roll:

Aye Europa was in the concept art from Destiny 1 so it looks like they're still using canned content from that :roll:

They've previously said the install size is currently basically as big as it can be, so they were considering the possibility of just getting rid of some locations and content to reduce the game size to add more stuff.

They can do away with Titan and Gambit Prime, both awful.
It’s interesting to see how many people still play this thing after all these years, the Tower is still always pretty busy. I guess being free helps.
Like you Maf, I’d be tempted by the newer version. I can’t believe I just said that.

There won't be Destiny 3 any time soon, old content will be cycled out to reduce file size but old upgraded Destiny 1 content being cycled in
