So, I got a bounty...and I, don't know where to go. None of the planets have a green icon even though the bounties tracked... I'll check tonight if I'm missing something.

Tracking bounties just means it gets highlighted in your HUD (yes it's...bad). Head to the bounties screen (a few tabs away from the Director/Map) and you'll be able to see what it wants you to do.

Really you want to be getting bounties that you tick off as you do something else in-game. Be it campaign missions, strikes, gambit or crucible.

Your first port of call should be the tower, and the appropriate vendor for which of the three main "pillars" you want. The Gunsmith and the Drifter Encoder thing (this season's gimmick) are just generic stuff you can do mostly anywhere. The bald blue guy has Strike bounties, the erm, horn-y shouty guy has Crucible and the Drifter has the Gambit ones.

There are the season pass vendors from Y2, and planetary vendors, but these are specific to the Y2 DLC and the planets in question, usually.

Bounties are basically the main way to level up/gain xp.

It's a bad decision but that's what you have to do

Just started playing this on Game Pass and I've a quick question. Only played a couple of Strikes but are they usually 30mins+? I only get around 25-30 min play times these days and with it taking 4-5 mins to get into a game then I'm having to quite before finishing. Are there other quicker game types in it?

It depends on the strike really, and the team running it. I'd say 25-30 mins is quite long and they should be a bit quicker than that. Loading times will add to that though, especially if you're going into the tower first.

I usually look at a strike as being about 15-20 mins, about the same as a crucible match or a game of gambit. Those two are probably a touch quicker, though you need to matchmake more players (shouldn't take too long though).

There are campaign missions and patrol areas which might be quicker.

I think you’ve been a little unlucky there, they’re usually on average about 20 minutes, sometimes shorter. Maybe the noob influx is slowing them down.

It probably doesn't help that I've no idea where I'm going either.

Strikes should take 10-15 minutes tops. Just follow the other players basically, it's almost impossible you'll be placed in a team with two complete newcomers.

Bounties I have are 'calibrate sniper rifle'?

TF does that mean? I'm gonna presume I have to snipe a dude, but I don't own a sniper rifle... :capnscotty:

That's literally all it says, I presume when/if I kill something with it, it might pop up the percentage malarky?
