Really? It looks like a very clever way of doing a live action Pokemon film-mixing in comedy and Ryan Reynolds will appeal to a wider audience than just kids. I think this has the potential to be huge.

I quite like the look of it. It seems like it could be very funny.

Might have to actually go to a cinema

CGI is ok and depicting the world where Pokemon are real seems fine. What's weird is seeing Pikachu and hearing Ryan Reynold's voice as I thought the film would be Ryan Reynolds and Pikachu as his sidekick! I imagined Pikachu as this intelligent monosyllabic creature - in this depiction he comes across as more akin to Top Cat.

They should have gone full on hard boiled Raymond Chandler with Pikachu.

Pleasantly surprised. Looks like it could be pretty good.

The world looks well realised but I can't get over how super realistic the Pokemon look. Almost off-putting. They lose the charm a bit. But the animation kinda makes up for some of it.

As someone who had zero interest in seeing a Pokemon movie, I now want to see a Pokemon movie.

Slowly adjusting to the realistic Pokémon designs - some work better than others - and Deadpool (aka Ryan Reynolds) voice.

Least the plot dosen't revolve around tracking down a taxidermist, right...?

It is disappointing that Pikachu isn't Danny DeVito.

I've never been into Pokemon either, but this does look good.

The GF found Reynold's voice coming from a Pikachu very jarring, but I'm weirdly excited for this.

I think it looks crazy fun. Not sure I'm sold on Pikachu's voice, but everything looks wonderful. Jigglypuff still has her trademark pen too, it seems.

My main hope is that the film actually resolves Pikachu almost certainly being Tim's dad that for some reason the game never got round to.

That's probably going to be the only similarity between the game and film
