The only real consolation is that the original showrunner will be involved as at least the first 4 seasons were decent enough. Even they haven't aged too well though.

Otherwise... just, why?

I actually think this might be okay. Miami was such a big part of the show before that I feel the change of location will be a breath of fresh air.

Really not sure what to think about this. Dexter was never great after season 4

That's pretty much where I am.

Rumours that Deb and The Trinity Killer will make cameo appearances.

It's those rumours that worry me the most. Is it going to be a season full of bloody spirit guides or whatever? It was a bit naff when they started doing it but it became ridiculous by the end.

I'll give the pilot a watch but only to see how bad it is.

Then I'll rewatch S1 of the original Dexter instead.

Whatever happens we will always have season 4.

The opening scene has been released (spoilers!)

If this series doesn't end with Dexter being slain in a bizarre treadmill accident, I'll be so annoyed.

The trailer actually makes this look pretty promising!
Colour me surprised!
