Ironicly a day or so before the announcement of D4 I believe Blizzard issues some sort of apology over the whole Heartstone incident.

Anyway if I received it as a gift I'd probably give it a go. But realistically I still don't think I could play it regularly. It's a damn shame

Yup. Can second-hand confirm that as well.

It's going to be always online and a shared world – you can play solo but you cannot play offline. There will be PvP zones.

I would like to take a political stand and not get this game but I'm a whore for Diablo. A dirty, need whore for that sweet loot. Plus pretty much everything I own, wear and the device I'm typing this on now is probably the result of similar injustice so bring on that new Druid class.

Agreed, I'd say far worse is probably more accurate than similar.

Looks quite similar to D3, I wonder if it's running on a modified D3 engine.

Looks like it's in a fairly well developed state but I guess it could still take ages to get through testing.

Didn't Diablo 3 take something like eight years from announcement to release?
