Yep, I loved it. The shield had a great ending, breaking bad had a great ending.

That's the thing - I can pick out a handful of memorable great endings - Breaking Bad, Bojack Horseman and a few others, but for the most part shows don't really end brilliantly.

Either they go out on a whimper or often they just don't get an ending at all.

I would also be inclined to say ‘most of them’ to be honest, then I kinda think it’s because it wasn’t the endings that I personally necessarily wanted. The Sopranos springs to mind immediately. Did I want it to end that way? No. Does that make it bad? I dunno...no? Yes?
The worst in my opinion is Firefly, but then that was hardly their fault. I was fairly miffed when the film did nothing to resolve anything either, like Deadwoods.

Except for The Shield which saved its best season for last.

Instead the final episode of Enterprise was literally a bad holodeck episode of TNG.

Yep, that final episode was complete shite with a capital SHITE!

A bloody holodeck episode with characters from another series? I honestly would have preferred an episode where the ship was blown up and everyone died in comedy fashion. If they wanted to bring in a character from another series bring in Nelix and have the crew take it in turns to insult him for the entire episode.
Maybe have Q turn up and transport the crew to 1980's Swindon town centre.

Anything would have been better.
