It's not acceptable to feel threatened but I think it's more likely she's enacting in political point-scoring.

Really?

Well it's a great way to turn the story away from the BBC ruling that she, a supposed journalist, willfully deceived her audience isn't it?

What an incredibly inaccurate, highly emotive and OTT recounting of events.

Event

"Questioner: How do you feel about shoot to kill on Britian's streets? [No specific scenario give]"
"Corbyn: I'm generally against Shoot to kill. It's dangerous and counter productive"

News report

Video of Corbyn: I'm generally against Shoot to kill. It's dangerous and counter productive"
LK: Corbyn's view there on how he'd feel about shoot to kill in a situation such as the Paiis attack

But the generally makes it a wide ranging response. Still. What a monster she is! BURN THE TRAITOR

Corbyn supporter by any chance? Recognise elements of yourself maybe in Moggy's article?

Yeah but she's not on message.

Corbyn's backing out of/decline/done nothing to (depriving on source) Radio 4 today as they asked McD about Brexit but not his Credit Card interest policy. The nerve!

I think the immediate jumping to personal abuse shows that you know how weak your actual argument is. Do better or don't try.

Well actually I made a point first (the bit you emitted out of quote) - and then expanded it even further, which to be fair you might not have seen the paraphrasing, as I assumed you had no idea what you're talking about given how you presented it and might need some actual info.

So yeah...

Innacurate and selective reporting? How dare Lk, eh? Still that answers the question about self awareness...you didn't intend it though, so I don't think you get credit...

Edit - I actually forgot to ask. "Turn the story away...." from a report hat occurred, what, a year ago? (Although I think the trust ruling is a few months more ecent?). Yeah that was a hot topic of discussion she needed to divert from. Definitely worth bringing it up. Again. Hysterically over-egging it and reminding people who the enemy of the party is. Read back Moggy's article - still not recognizing behavior or characteristics?

Your whole approach here seems to be admitting that I was right and then suggesting that because you recognise this I therefore must be wrong. I'm not sure what you're trying to gain by arguing like this.

You what?

You are wrong.

she...willfully deceived her audience isn't it?

Is fundamentally wrong at worst, and a gleeful misrepresentation belying a strong lack of knowledge of events at best.

The "turn the story" away bit is nonsense given the age (ironically the turning away from story is what you're trying to do)

I'm trying to point out your behaving in exactly the way Moggy's article explains - while trying to divert attention from the article back to the victim in an nonsense, distorted attack piece.

Trying to deflect away away from about the massive amount of abused caused by trumped up criticism of LK, by making trumped up criticism of LK is strawberry floating funny. That fact your refused to appreciate what you're doing is somewhat less so.

Continuing Labour's approach of having Schroedinger's Policiies to try and be all things to all people.

The Shadow Health Sec has just contradict McD about the number of PFIs that need to be/will be wound up, and opened up renegotiation as an option instead.

What a farce.

Their chief political correspondent?

She's been caught misreporting a number of times this year and the BBC Trust even found that she broke accuracy and impartiality rules. So sending her in to a pack of people wanting her blood isn't the best idea no

What are the "number of times this year"? (but you got the Trust bit more accurate than others :))

She often comes up on twitter or youtube after the weeks PMQs where people have picked up on her miss quoting (similar to the BBC Trust ruling).

It's not just her reporting on Labour either. I believe she's done it for UKIP etc too.

I'm not calling you a liar - but any examples? :)

I wasn't too fussed about the STK stuff since Corbyn's answer still obviously applied due to it's sweeping nature, but curious what else she's done.

I do remember Laura Kuenssberg c-bombing on election night. There was a lot of Freudian slips that night.

not really, I tend to avoid any of her stuff because I find her quality of reporting pretty awful. Only what I've seen recommended or retweeted on social media. There was a video that was a teardown of one of her reports before summer from a doctor or may have been a lawyer that was quite popular. I'll try and find it tonight when I get home if you don't find it beforehand.

Don't put much effort - I'm not :P.

Nah I don't overly rate her as a reporter either. I don't like how they all seem to have become "personalities". (Peston I couldn't stand before his show)

I can't stand Laura Kuenssberg (or John Sopel for that matter). Their bias is so obvious, and their reporting style is annoying as well. John Pienaar is much more balanced and doesn't seem to want to make it about himself.

I don't think I could honestly endorse Labour for the next election. I am a moderate who believes in the state as a force for good and that free enterprise is important for a well functioning economy. At the moment the main UK parties only allow you to choose one or the other. You can have the failure of the Conservatives austerity programme or the failure of Labour's new spending programme (I support increased spending, but only provided it is invested in the right areas and not liable to run up debt for no long term gain).

Obviously the Tories deserve to be utterly destroyed next time around. Brexit will damage the UK for decades to come and it's their doing. However, I can't see how Labour are going to help matters unless they wise up on their promises and form a coherent plan to remain in the single market.

I do not condone any violence or threats of violence toward Kuenssberg, it's sad that she has to have a bodyguard. If she only has protection for this conference then that would be a mistake because if someone wants to do her harm then they will just wait.

On the subject of her reporting, I don't actually know anyone that has anything positive to say about her. The current headline on the BBC website is based on pure spin from her about the economy under Labour, on the very sensible notion that Labour are contingency planning for any rough times ahead.

She takes point A and comes up with point X in virtually everything she reports. Horrific "journalist".
