Esther McVey, the 50-year-old former GMTV presenter, is the government's new deputy chief whip...

I just find that sentence hilarious. Like a low budget equivalent of...

Donald Trump, the 71-year-old former host of Celebrity Apprentice, is the United States' new President.

BBC News wrote:For the first time in more than 10 years the Bank of England has raised interest rates.

The official bank rate has been lifted from 0.25% to 0.5%, the first increase since July 2007 when rates hit 5.75%.

Almost four million households face higher mortgage interest payments after the rise, but it should give savers a modest lift in their returns.

BBC News wrote:Boris Johnson has said Sir Michael Fallon has a "record to be extremely proud of" as defence secretary.

"He has left our great armed services in very good shape as we go forward to build global Britain," said the foreign secretary.

Sir Michael said his conduct had "fallen short" of the required standards after allegations of inappropriate sexual behaviour, as he announced his resignation on Wednesday.

Asked by the BBC if his behaviour has always been of a standard expected of cabinet ministers, Mr Johnson replied: "You bet!"

That last sentence could be interpreted a couple of ways...

Lovely fact about our new Defence Secretary,

As chief whip he kept a pet tarantula called Cronus on his desk.

Cronus was a Greek God who castrated his father in order to take over the Universe. He then ate his own children when they were born to stop them overthrowing him.

At least we'll get Saturnalia back.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Also great to see Amber Rudd on there, shame that won’t be enough to get rid of her though.

Non disclosure agreement, it suggests some sensitive 'goings on' and that's about it.

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."

The BofE should never of lowered the rate to 0.25% to begin with, complete overreaction when Brexit was voted for.

There's something funny about making a chief whip your new Defence Secretary. I can't think of how dodgy that is.

They only have themselves to blame.

Call a hugely divisive referendum to save your support.
Don't think about the implications of this.
PROFIT.

This has been the most embarrassing thing to watch. May will not be looked on kindly in years to come. I almost feel sorry for her. Almost.
