Why do they keep calling him Deputy PM? We don’t currently have a deputy prime minister. We haven’t appointed one since Nick Clegg.

He’s First Secretary of State, which makes him de facto Deputy PM. I’d imagine the papers call him Deputy PM because it’s quicker to type and instantly understandable.

I do like that Clegg is such an arsehole that he poisoned the entire role of Deputy PM.

I still quite like Clegg, I tend to view him as more of a patsy with good intentions than an outright arsehole.

Yeah I don't think he is evil he just underestimated the power for the dark side.
It would be like corbyn getting it power it will probably be a disaster but not because he ment it be that way.

Clegg propped up a weak and cowardly Tory government against the wishes of the majority of the Lib Dem support. The last two elections have shown how much of a success the coalition was for his party and the country as a whole.

I don’t think he deliberately set out to be a banana split, but his attitude ever since joining the coalition has made him one.

He traded his principles and his party for a spell as deputy PM. He had very little effect in softening Tory policy in my opinion. He absolutely deserves his reputation to be in the trash. No amount of tear shedding or decent speeches now should make up for what an absolute disaster the coalition was.

And yet most of us would rather that than what is in place now...

But that led to what’s in place now.

We have a government in place now that is so weak they can hardly govern. I'll take that over the bedroom tax any day.

They keep mentioning the knee touch but he blatantly didn't resign because of that.

The number of people who don't seem to understand harassment is bizarre. It's like they come from an alien culture or something. 'What is this "consent" you humans speak of?'

If May wants to get any tiny shred of her “strong and stable” message back, then she needs to sack the useless bumbling prick.

That poor woman is looking at an extra 5 years in jail but it doesn’t matter because good old Boris just had a slip of the tongue.

They make me so strawberry floating angry. :x

Johnson and Priti Patel shouldn't be in their jobs at the moment. It's depressing how inept and broken the current government is.
