It's so moreish, isn't it? We finished the series last night and it was entertaining throughout. Jeff's charisma is just infectious, he could make any subject interesting.

He definitely seemed out of depth with the gaming episode though  Not his fault, the producers should've focused on one aspect of gaming in that episode instead of zipping from one end of the spectrum to the other.

The show is basically just his personality. The actual content, at least in the few episodes I’ve seen doesn’t have that much depth or insight really.

I always remember the X-Men cartoons being good but rewatching now, they're strawberry floating excellent (aside from the actual animation).

Wolverine and the X-Men is really good too. Shame it only lasted one season.

The Hulk show absolutely nosedives about halfway through (although Disney+ has it all clumped together as 1 season, there are actually 2). It wasn’t the best, anyway. Awful writing and plots, the animation doesn’t suit it either.
Absolutely can’t wait to get stuck into X-Men and Spider-Man. There are 2 separate Avengers shows which look canny, and another one with a mad looking team.

Watched a couple of the live action reboots this weekend. Wife and little one watched Lion King. I saw the first twenty minutes or so of it as I had some DIY to do and it was weird. No expression on the animal faces at all, and Zazu without Rowan Atkinson isn't the same. Wasn't impressed.

Watched Aladdin last night and that was much better, although obviously still not as good as the original. Case in point: I prefer the way Aladdin tricks the Genie in the animated one, and it takes away a really good chance for Will Smith to act over the top. The end was a bit lame compared to the original as well, but I can see the point of this one a lot more. One top bit of accidental comedy:
"So Genie, what are you going to do now?"
"Well, there's this handmaiden..." :slol:

I've not seen the original Mulan but the trailer for the live action one looked great. I think they really need to have a majority human cast for the live action ones, otherwise they seem a bit pointless. Beauty and the Beast was enjoyable for that reason. I'd quite like to see live action Pinocchio.

A live action Pinocchio would be absolutely terrifying! No way!

Obviously it’s on its way. The list of films Disney aren’t doing live action versions of must be shorter at this stage.

Robert Zemeckis is directing I believe.

They should make a version of Pinocchio based on the original story where he immediately murders Jiminy upon meeting him and is then haunted by his ghost for the rest of the story, then Pinocchi gets turned entirely into a Donkey before a man attempts to drown him in order to kill him, but fish eat the Donkey and Pinocchio escapes from its carcass.

Anyone else's audio keep switching to German, seems like it's a common issue :fp:

Not sure I'll keep it beyond a month now, even for the Mandalorian. It's just a crap service.

Not had an issues technically.

I'm not totally in love with the Mandalorian. The whole anti hero with a heart of gold thing is a bit played out and I wish he was a bit more morally ambiguous. The first episode set him up as quite dark but that's been slowly walked back.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

I’m waiting for all of The Mandolorian to be on there before I use my free, week long trial to binge it in and then just buy a month as and when. Might try and get one of The Clone Wars or Rebels watches as well in my free week, probably won’t have much time for gaming in that week
