Disney+ has a documentary about the Beatles (a 1960s band) making an album. It's about 8 hours long and is made up of footage that was shot at the time.

The album was called "Let It Be", but one of the most famous songs on the album was called "Get Back" which is where the name of the documentary came from.

Lennon is a lot more likeable than I expected (although clearly whacked out on heroin at times) and McCartney a lot less because he comes cross as a bit of a control freak. Yoko is weird...she's always there and hanging off Lennon's shoulder and it is uncomfortable because she's not really involved but it doesnt really feel like she's an issue. In fact McCartney defends her presence and seems very understanding about Lennon's position.

The biggest takeaway for me is how Lennon and McCartney were on such a good wavelength creatively while Harrison was getting more and more frustrated by the creative process, and by McCartney. You can see the wedge growing.

The real hero is Ringo who turns up every day in a lovely mood wishing everyone good morning before sitting at his drums quietly and drumming when required

Yeah I watched it all last weekend.

It's all wonderful but the highlight is the rooftop concert. It's just so joyful.

I love Ringo. He turns up, sits down behind his drums and barely says a word while everyone around him creates astonishing songs . And then he'll suddenly say something hilarious.

It surprised me how "cool" McCartney was back then. I'm used to 90's/00s/10s cheesy McCartney. 60s McCartney was awesome.

Just watched the final episode.

The rooftop performance is just pure brilliance.

McCartney and Lennon just in their absolute element, and despite everything going on in their relationships you can just sense how much they loved playing with each other. The Beatles at their absolute, effortless best

Also, McCartney's face when he sees the police have arrived
