I was hoping by now Disney would have had a new subscription tier that bundled Disney+ and Marvel Unlimited together for a cheaper price. Could be a great way to get people who watch the Marvel and Star Wars stuff to move over and try the comics as well.

Anyone watched Ms Marvel yet? The trailer definitely seemed geared towards a younger audience so I'm going to let it build up a few episodes and wait on the emerging GRcade consensus before starting it.

I enjoyed the first episode, it was light hearted and fun, with a clear teen drama vibe, and the many artistic touches, like the way texting was represented at at least one point, were great. I know I'm not the target audience, but, it was a good opening act. Hopefully it'll hold up as the season progresses.

I hated it 1 minute in and my opinion didn't get much better. Target audience seems very young.

BTW, there was a post-credits scene in Ms Marvel. Overall it was just about OK, only a 6 episode season so will continue watching.

Ooof. Worse than I feared!

Wandavision episode 1 was quite bad but picked up but this sounds like an even lower starting point to improve upon with an unfixable problem (target audience).

I didn't hate it, but it's clearly not aimed at me. It reminded me of those 90s/00s teen sitcoms you'd get on things like the Disney Channel.

This is a good comparison.

They're obviously trying to diversify and make stuff that isn't for the usual MCU fan, I get the impression that She-Hulk will also be very different from the normal output.

Personally, I thought Ms. Marvel was pretty good and, as I said earlier, my 12-year-old loved it. I just hope they don't get rounded on by the usual suspects and forced into making changes. They've clearly got a very specific thing in mind for this show and I think they've executed it pretty well.

Presumably their streaming rights are coming up at Netflix and Disney have paid for the rights.
