Feel like I'm suffering from a bit of Tom Hanks fatigue at the moment, him being in this new Pinocchio has kind of put me off it a bit.

Please do yourself a favour and actually read up on Peterson. Properly read up, don't just look at pro-Peterson opinions.

He's vile.

Much appreciated. :)

As Moggy says, would recommend a couple of these articles as a starting point into why I don't think his content is appropriate:

https://www.theguardian.com/science/2018/feb/07/how-dangerous-is-jordan-b-peterson-the-rightwing-professor-who-hit-a-hornets-nest

(Lynskey, oddly, is chiefly a music journalist but his article still gets to the point of how JBP has built a dangerous cult of personality around himself)

https://www.vox.com/world/2018/3/26/17144166/jordan-peterson-12-rules-for-life

And this one, from Vox I'd recommend as best explaining how Jordan Peterson the academic psychologist and Jordan Peterson the inflammatory, right-wing populist can be reconciled, and why the latter largely discredits the former. Hopefully these explain why I'm not comfortable with his content.

Anyhow, this has taken too much of the thread's time already. Back to the Pinocchio chat. :slol:

Was dreadful in Elvis. Like genuinely almost ruined the film for me.

New Cars series coming. Liked Cars 1 and 3, but I'm getting Cars 2 vibes with this. Definitely worth giving a go though.

Something about that Pinnochio trailer does make it look very good! Will be keen to watch it when it's out.

Disney Plus
Paramount Plus
Netflix
Amazon Prime
NOW TV
Britbox
MUBI
BFI Film Library

And loads of other smaller ones. To have all of them would cost you well north of £100pcm.

It's crazy and some of the original benefits of streaming are now in danger of being lost i.e. cheaper pricing, range of content, no adverts.

Every media company thinks they're popular enough to go it alone and we'll probably have a period of frustration for consumers ahead of some of the companies folding or being taken over by the bigger competitors. In a few years it'll probably just be Amazon and Disney left, each charging £60 a month... exactly as Sky did in the dish market.

i wonder if that could spell the end of streaming

Or at the very least a severe reduction in the number of things you have to subscribe to

Business idea: a website that you input your favourite TV shows and genres into and it tells you the ideal time to subscribe to a service to watch it all in the least amount of time, saving you money on ongoing subs.

I have a 3 month free code for Disney Plus, needs to be either a new sub or one that's expired for it to work. Currently on a 12 month sub so no good to me and needs using by 9th September. Reply here or shoot me a PM if you'd like it.

Fans of Pixar might be pleased to know they’ve announced inside out 2 for 2024. They’ve got another two films before that

And WDAS have announced their next animated musical

I'm not sure about a sequel to Inside Out. Apart from Toy Story (which admittedly they nailed each time), Pixar don't have a very good record when returning to their best films.

I maintain Toy Story 4 is a good film, just an unnecessary one. It's not as good as the trilogy but they're all 10/10 classics whereas 4 is more like a solid 8/10.

Toy Story 4 is a good movie, it's just overshadowed by the 3 amazing movies before it.

Oh I don’t think toy story 4 is a bad film there was just something lacking in it. And a number of new characters were a bit forgettable, as in I actually forgot about ducky, bunny and duke kaboom
