I tend to look out for promotions. Amazon has offered me another free month of Prime in December, so I'll be using that for the football, and NowTV is perpetually discounted these days. CD Keys can be quite good for NowTV offers/price reductions as well.

Just Netflix (cheapest package) and PornHub Premium for me.

I think Warner TV is coming to the UK next year as well, which is going to deprive Sky of some more programming I’m sure.

I'm just waiting on Getflix to start supporting Disney+ and then I might sign up to the US version.

Hopefully if I download the App from the US Xbox store it'll work when I switch region back to the UK store, though from what I gather changing region only takes a few seconds so if I have to switch back and forth it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

I like how they've kind of copied the idea of the Marvel Stud10s opening with the new STAR WARS intro

After some pissing about I've managed to sign up for a US Disney+ account.

Had to use VPN to setup a US PayPal account with a random US address and I just happened to have a throwaway US phone from my recent Florida trip with a US phone number I could use, then link my Revolut card by just trying again and again until it stopped giving me billing address errors.

After that I could just access Disney+ through Getflix and sign up with PayPal as my payment option.

Works fine through web browser. Going to try getting the Xbox One App working now.
Might pick up a new Amazon Fire Stick in the Black Friday sales to get it on my Office TV by side loading the app onto it.

Edit - So changed my Xbox Location to United States and was able to download the app from the Store. Launched it and was able to sign in and play some things fine with Getflix DNS in place.
Switched my location back to UK and was still able to launch the app and play content :toot:

Yeah was a right piss about to get the US paypal account set up. But if you try to use a UK paypal account it just rejects it as being in the wrong region.

Why people don't simply pirate this stuff is beyond me. It's no more difficult to do, it's free and it gets around the late stage capitalistic nightmare that is the fragmented streaming ecosystem.

I'd like to try and support the actual content. Yes it was a convuluted mess to actually set up, but now that I have it set up I don't think barely more than a fiver a month is at all a big ask for the amount of content that Disney+ offers. Original Star Wars and Marvel content, plus access to virtually the entire Disney back catalogue? Yeah I can live with that.

I'll almost certainly be subscribing when we're finally graced with its presence in the UK, but I sure as gooseberry fool wasn't waiting 4-5 months to watch the Mandalorian and staying unspoiled when there were spoilers everywhere on Twitter and Facebook the next day, and one of the dickheads in my class just blurted out massive spoilers without a second thought in front of everyone.

Plus, I don't give a second thought to pirating stuff I can't watch due to Sky's fuckery.
