Holy... I saw on Twitter something about announcements coming. I didn't expect this. I am getting hyped just thinking about all that Star Wars goodness. At the same time, though, I won't be overhyping things until we see them. Wonder what else they've got to show off.

Acolyte, A Droid Story, Ahsoka, Andor, Bad Batch, Lando, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Rangers, Rogue Squadron, Visions, and Taika's new Star Wars film.

That rounds out the Star Wars announcements.

Alien is currently in development at @FXNetworks. The first TV series based on the classic film series is helmed by Fargo and Legion's @noahhawley. Expect a scary thrill ride set not too far in the future here on Earth.

My immediate thought was that it'll be gooseberry fool.

But Hawley's Fargo series has been great (I've not seen the most recent season) so maybe it'll work.

Completely forgot Disney have the Alien license too.

I hate to be a strawberry floating corporate shill, especially for Disney given how evil they are but everything that got announced by disney yesterday looks/sounds like it'll be incredible holy gooseberry fool.

Not necessarily lower quality is it? Different people are working on the projects, so aslong as it is suitably funded no reason why it can't all be as good as The Mandalorian. It might not be, but I don't think higher volume necessarily means. And I don't mind higher subscription fees if the content is there to justify it.

gooseberry fool, that's an insane amount of content. I hope it actually holds my attention and doesn't become as stale as the Netflix Marvel stuff.
