I much preferred s2 to s1 but have no real feeling towards the SW world - even the larger callbacks didn't make me feel all that much. Was entertaining enough though, with a couple of great last episodes.

More broadly I see Disney+ is doing amazingly well globally. Slated to overtake Netflix in the next few years and no doubt will roll on from there. If there are only 1 or 2 survivors from the streaming wars in the next decade, I'd bet my house on Disney being one of them.

It still suffers massively from the basic plotting and logical sequencing issues of the first series - the actions, motivations and reactions of characters and antagonists rarely make any real logical sense and it is straight up infuriating at times! I've basically decided to give up caring about the why of anything and just try to enjoy the light show.

The internal referencing and callback porn is getting insane already though.

This was my major problem with season 2 and it only gets worse.

Yeah I went in forewarned that this would be the case, it's still distressing me though!

If you're going to finish it, please keep documenting your thoughts. I think there's one bit you're going to hate as much as I did.

There’s a good film that’s just come on there called Will You Ever Forgive Me. It’s got that horrendous Melissa McCarthy in it but she’s not actually completely gooseberry fool. Richard E Grant is excellent in it too. Well worth a watch.

So having now finished Season 2, I think Season 1 is better, not just because of the call backs in Season 2 (I didn't really mind those per say), but I just think there's a limit on how interesting I need some information, let's make a deal, do the deal can be and it was more novel in Season 1. One could say the whole thing was basically 'Bargain Hunt' 8-)

I still liked Season 2 but can agree with the criticism that the constant call backs make it seem less like following a man on his own adventure and more like Lion King 1.5

It's pretty good tbf. I don't think it's got the mass appeal of a lot of the big princess films, so I dunno if it's going to do as well as they're hoping, but it's good fun, and I can see them selling loads of plush Sisu's. I really want one :shifty: In terms of premier access stuff it's a lot better than Mulan, too.

I was excited to see it, but I'm not paying £20 for the pleasure I'm afraid.

yeah i get that feeling. unfortunately im a fool when it comes to money and WDAS are my favourite film makers and im alway keen to see their new films

We've cancelled Netflix now because all we watch is Disney+

Pretty much the worst possible outcome is a Disney and Amazon duopoly so I can almost guarantee that will happen

I don’t pay for either but use both. If I was forced to put money down on one it would definitely be Netflix.

I’m stunned the Disney player is still so strawberry floating dreadful after a year, fast forwarding and rewinding is a nightmare.

Star should also have solved the content problems but the amount of stuff being held back is a farce. Maybe there are deals behind it and everything will be on their eventually but browsing the films and it’s laughably trashy bollocks.

Star is reminiscent of the first time we all got Netflix and were all very excited to watch There Will Be Blood again and nothing else.

Both in terms of sparsity and probably in some cases the literal films and series that are available.

Any time there a lack of content on a streaming service in the UK just remember it's always because Sky are banana splits.
