...to make a total conversion mod for GTA San Andreas? And I mean a TOTAL conversion, right down to new characters, voice acting and story. You see, I'm really keen to see something along the lines of the GTA I described in the Canned Games thread, and I know we have some budding game makers here. Do we actually have the manpower and the drive to make this actually happen? We need programmers, designers, voice actors, 3D modellers and writers that I can think of. I can help with the writing (seeing as the scenario was my vision), and I can do some voice acting, having a northern accent and all.

I would be interested, despite not being able to code. Would be a challenge!

There's plenty that can be done without needing to code.

I can do a decent Cockney accent (if that'd come in use) amongst others with a bit of honing, so would be interested in doing voice acting as I did a little in uni last year. Was fun, so would be willing to help if this ever became a reality!

There's no need to be here any longer than necessary. Let's split up, look for survivors, and get out of here.

I have a gaming blog too. Read it if you wish; if you don't I won't take it too personally. Metro 2033 is shite!

I'm from Yorkshire and you want it set in a Northern city..... my voice acting skills are at your disposal if you're in need of a gruff, grumpy old git.

Seeing as the story hasn't been written yet, a cocken gangster type could easily be included, maybe as an antagonist.

The reason I chose San Andreas, by the way, is because there is already a rioting routine programmed into it. If we could make it so it can be invoked under certain circumstances, one could cause some interesting scenes.

GRCadesville, obviously. Complete with St Nick's bike 'store', Loire's drug stash, Cal's anti-government protest group, Goat's boat and dockyard, and FatDaz starring as the new Officer Tenpenny.

Those would probably be some of the best missions ever. The Truth v.2?

I'm thinking, seeing as the map is already designed for it, making it 3 cities, based roughly on Newcastle, Sunderland and Middlesbrough.

Holy strawberry float, that would be amazing! Make sure Pallion and Ryhope make it into Sunderland, those are where my parents/grandparents/most of my family are from. And Roker Pier, it's my favourite bit of the city.

Need to make sure The Stadium of Light is included as well...

Obviously, although it has to have my brick included on the wall. Unfortunately it doesn't say puppet boy as I plumped for my real name, but still...

I'm also keen on having a couple of colliery villages around the map, as well as a harbour with a ship (possibly with a Boat Of Goat reference) and a floting bathtub (the SS Samson).

Nood, the Stadium Of Light didn't exist in 1985. We could well try and get Roker Park (equivalent) in there, though. It would be an interesting challenge to have a footy riot happen as part of the story.

For the seaside harbour, make it a fishing village and maybe get a castle of some sort just up the coast. That's be awesome.

Do you realise the sheer scale of this mod, even just a reskin would take strawberry floating ages. If you really want to do something like this MCN wouldn't it be better to start really small, i.e. make a few new buildings, then take it from there?

Obviously this is going to take time and effort, but nothing awesome was ever easy. This could be a hell of a way to get GRCade noticed amongst the wider gaming community, too.
