When I go out I wear jeans and a T Shirt and if it's cold add a hoody. So no.

Can't believe nobody's picked up on the heavy-handed Roxette reference yet. Y'all should be ashamed.

Generally, I stick to the basic Jeans/TShirt/trainers combo, but since I've started going out, a few females have complimented me when I rock the Shirt and tie, with rolled up sleeves and nice shoes.

Think I'll be wearing the latter a lot more now, TBH.

The last time I bought any clothes was about 3 months ago from Primark. I'd love to wear nice clothes, but they're so far down my priority/spending list (just below "tea towels") I never do. I don't look like a tramp or anything, just ever-so-slightly out of touch.

I think I've lived skinto for so long, that I won't be able to justify spending lots of money on clothes when I get back into work.

I think style and fashion are very interesting, I do make a point of dressing in a particular way. I may well often wear just a t-shirt and jeans, but it doesn't need to be totally casual and dull. Some skinny jeans and a well fitting t-shirt that doesn't have a 'funny' slogan on it or garish design can be simple but also look great. Generally though I think the person makes the outfit, you've got to have the shoes, face, hair and body looking good or at least fitting in with your clothes to pull off a good look.

As far as high street retailers go, I like to shop in American Apparel, Urban Outfitters and vintage retailers but there's a few online stores and particular designers that I like as well. Lookbook.nu is a good online source for fashion inspiration, some incredible looks on there

It's strange, I always imagine you dressing like this guy:

Jeans and a polo shirt or a t-shirt. And a zip-up hoody if it's a bit chilly.

Garish designs and 'funny' slogans need not apply. ;)

While they aren't 'skinny', slim fit jeans are perfectly fine.

Anyway, I could easily spend a grand on clothes in highstreet stores in the space of a few hours. Unfortunately, since losing a bunch of weight at the start of the year, not many of my clothes fit me now, but I'm putting the weight back on slowly.

I think it's important to look good. It's a shame that many people think that spending money on clothes is some how a waste.

But how much are you spending on a particular item say jeans? You don't need to spend alot to look good

Yeah, skinny jeans look far better than scruffy bootcut jeans.

I like to try to make an effort, and I think I look pretty good most of the time. :shifty:

Slim fit jeans are fine but skinny ones look ridiculous on men, quite funny how they don't seem to notice either.

Skinny jeans don't do your blood circulation any good.

Anything around £70 is reasonable for a pair of jeans. I would agree that spending £150 is a little excessive however, but I wouldn't be completely against the idea if they were of exceptional quality.

The best pair of jeans I've ever owned were something like £15 from Matalan, and they're great. Think I've got some pretty expensive ones somewhere, but I don't think they're as nice really.

I just get my jeans from ASDA. I've had jeans from there that have lasted years.
