I have been asking myself this question recently.

A while back I picked up an old yu-gi-oh game on GBA and I;ve been playing it quite a bit, playing a video game based off a childrens card game made me somewhat nostalgic and thinking about it now i never really stopped liking the game I justlost interest. I think the same thing happened with my and wrestling, used to watch it a lot as a kid, then I lost interest and now I watch it again and I like it (well it is love/hate mostly because wrestling can be really gooseberry fool at times).
I'd imagine most of the people wholike pokemon as a kid still like it now. Also I used to watch a lot of cartoons as a kid and I still watch a lot of cartoons as well (though I think myyounger brother played a part in that).

Anyone else here like that? Or do you think kids stuff should be for kids only?

I listened to Spice Girls the other day. And enjoyed it.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

Still play video games, and still follow football, but other than that, I've grown out of wrestling, cartoons, and most other things I liked back then. So on the whole, no. New interests and hobbies.

I saw Lego in a toyshop today. I was about to go in and look at it, but then I noticed it was the most kiddy-looking shop I'd ever seen and I would look like a total paedo.

Absolutely.

Video games - obviously
Painting miniature figurines - gave a friend a painting tutorial today as it happens
Alice in Wonderland - some of my favourite books which I intend to start reading to my children
D&D - well the stories surrounding the hobby mainly due to not having time or enough people interested in playing. I do like to read the rule books from time to time. Even bought the 4th edition box set, (which is a beautiful set by the way), but have never played it, just read the rules.

There's a lot of other interests from my childhood that although fleeting always raise a smile, but mainly the above have stayed true.

I've always felt that if you 'put away childish things' and lose that sense of awe and inquiry you had as a kid then the world turns a little bit grey. We all need to be enthused and inspired by something, however frivolous and 'immature' - and for some (like me) that could be life-long appreciated of science fiction and and fantasy , which is direct link back to the child I used to be. I still find it all amazing. Films, TV, books...the reason I like 'Game of Thrones' and 'The Walking Dead' is because that kind of escapism taps into my lifelong fascination for these genres. Against the odds, the magic never went away. I'll be 50 next year.

I know. I can't believe it myself. :| This life...such a strange business.
