How does TikTok differ from Instagram or Snapchat videos? Not that I do anyway, but why would I be uploading my video there rather than on THE SOCIALS (other).

No. Anything properly good makes its way out to other channels. The rest is just kids with time to kill.

That guy on the advert they always show on YouTube is enough to convince me that it's not for me.

I have downloaded and deleted the app 3 times. It just puts me in an unhealthy state of endless scrolling chasing repeated fractions of seconds of joy and before I know it it’s 2am and I haven’t moved for 6 hours.

So, Maf, unlike the rest of these decrepit old strawberry floats, I’m not so out of touch that I don’t get it, I just know it’s not good for me. :simper:

Nope, a couple of people I work with are glued to their phones watching it and my screen time is high enough some days already without adding something else to waste time with.

I dont watch TikTok or use ot for myself, but I do upload snippets of GRcade streams or the podcast to it. It doesn't really get a lot of views, but, if I'm uploading to YouTube then why not upload to TikTok as well?

Occasionally someone will post a TikTok video in our university group chat and I'm reminded how old I am. But then again even some of the younger mature students (mid 20's) in the chat don't get the appeal so I feel slightly less old.
