Yes if I happen to walk passed poppy sellers but I wouldn't go out of my way. I've never been questioned as to why I am or am not wearing one.

The racists at the EDL who have hijacked the poppy as a symbol of white pride and anti Muslim, the Facebook patriots who couldn't tell you when either of the world wars happened or the liberal try hards who are desperate to find controversy and show how forward thinking they are wouldn't influence my decision.

Really? all the limbs look in place to me.

Still, something like a cross/gravestone with a wreath of poppies leaning against it would have been far more tasteful and just as effective.

Brad Wray, 26, of Droylsden , who served in the Royal Air Force for seven years, also complained on Twitter.

He told the M.E.N: “As someone who is ex-forces, I found it in pretty bad taste.

“Everything done by the Royal British Legion is very professional and respectful.

“For someone who has served and seen casualties on the battlefield, or a family member who has lost someone, to walk and see that could really trigger stress. I’m glad it was changed.

Daily Moan wrote:Sickening moment bus driver sounds his horn and tries to drive THROUGH village's Remembrance Day service - not even stopping when police stood in his way

A bus driver has outraged village residents by driving through a Remembrance Day service and sounding his horn during the two-minute silence.

ImageImage

The bus driver was videoed by a member of the public disrupting the two minutes silence during the Remembrance Day service in Cranfield, Bedfordshire.

Eyewitness and former Royal Marine Dave Gagie-Devoe, 49, said the bus had passed a road closed sign and continued moving towards the war memorial despite Police Community Support Officers trying to stop it.

He said: 'The parade started at the Carpenter's Arms and walked down to the war memorial, on the corner of High Street and Church Walk.

'The bus had passed a road closed sign half a mile up the road. The PCSOs told him to stay put, and at one point were standing with their arms across the windscreen to try and stop him moving.

'However, he refused to switch off his engine and started to force his way forward. During the two-minute silence he sounded his horn.

'The whole village is up in arms. It has upset an awful lot of people.'

The video was originally posted on Facebook and has already been watched nearly 83,000 times.

The UNO bus was on the C11 route, which runs from Milton Keynes to Marston Moretaine via Cranfield.

An Uno spokesman said: 'Uno would like to wholeheartedly apologise for any upset or disruption caused by our driver's actions on Sunday.

'An investigation into the incident has been launched and unfortunately we cannot comment further at this time.'

Paid £80m a second, Never even done a war.

Tempted to create that and see if I can get it trending.

I wore a poppy this year, but didn't last year. It tends to be down to whether I have one or not, or whether I have change etc.

Couldn't care less if other people do or don't wear a poppy, nor what their opinion is of me wearing one.

Always like to follow the minutes silence though and pay respects to people who fought in the wars. Can't imagine how scary it must have been, and a lot of good people died protecting our way of life today.

So the rest of the time, when it's safe to do so, they just use the siren for gooseberry fools and giggles?

Usually they don't want to be late for their dinners but today out of respect they will risk lukewarm food.

Well people did the usual and some were strawberry floating talking during what should be a two minute silence. it's quite depressing how rude some people are.

Ours was 'almost' perfect silence. One person did try to start talking but kinda quickly realized her error!

I missed the 2 minute silence, I had music on (loudly) and didn't realise what time it was.

I hope all those dead servicemen (and women) like Accelerator by Primal Scream, fortunately it wasn't the fourth track (Swastika eyes) that was playing.

Ours was really bad, somebody started a call it sounded like a few minutes before and then just carried on chatting all the way through. I don't think they even realised why it got so quiet. A few others then started chattering away. It's just a bit sad really as it's a measly two minutes of peoples time.
