Why does that guy hate our war dead so much? :|

It's disgusting how much he hates the Poppy even though he's wearing a Poppy. :x

That woman saying the poppy has been politicised because people say that if you wear it you support war - it's been politicised because you're accused of hating your country if you don't wear one! Stupid old toad.

The way she steams in while completely misunderstanding the term Moral Absolute is impressive ignorance.

The real story is that pub was fined £1000 for breaching Covid rules. But instead of accepting that, the landlord is acting an arse and winding the gammon up.

That's the same pub that in previous years said it wouldn't serve anybody that came in not wearing a Poppy.

It's also the only pub that my wife has ever felt uncomfortable in. And we've been to some really shitty pubs.

The sign almost reads like a campaign for a borderless Britain

The homes are for heroes, not illegal immigrants! i.e. stop criminalising migration, those people are heroes!

...if only :(

Is that a WW1 soldier silhouette? Pretty sure they're all dead now, no need for their homes to go unoccupied.

I saw that earlier today - I genuinely think these people are mentally ill :dread:

Imagine living next door to them

There are no words

They genuinely think it's only about remembering the British dead don't they?

It's certainly what it's become. It's only a few years back where POPPYMANIA started and completely took away from what it actually meant.

I would be morbidly interested in a poll to find out how many people think we were fighting Nazis in the first world war

The theatrics of remembrance Day is covering up the meaning somewhat which means that in about 10 years it will become another Empire Day and a relic of the past.

I always wondered why they didn't use Remembrance Day (or Guy Fawkes Night) as an excuse to add a late autumn bank holiday to the calendar.
