Now that would have been great!

The whole Stormcage bit was very reminiscent of the prison in GOTG for me.

Decent episode.I quite liked Graham on the whole, quite a nice bow out for him and Ryan, although Force Nan was a bit cheesy. Yaz is still a bit dull. Assuming President Mr Big will show up in future episodes. I quite like him as a villain.

I'll be honest though - I can't actually remember why any of the characters were where they were. Was the last episode the one with the Cybermen army and the Master, or was there another Christmas special? When was it on telly? What's my name? Who even am an doctor? I don't know whether it's 2020 messing everything around, or that the Doctor Who schedule has been mucked around with so much over recent years, or that it's had a few years of being "meh" (probably a mixture of all three), but I was struggling to connect with it for a good while early on.

I thought I had missed the first episode in a two parter.

Quite a few people I know forgot that series 12 was broadcast in 2020. I dont really blame people for wanting to block out the final

I can't recall anything about season 12. I know that I had felt it was better than 11 but, beyond that... nothing!

It felt very very full of filler ..... I was hoping that the episode would go more like this, warning I have typed this up with 2 minutes thought dont expect Shakespeare

The Doctor is stuck in a space prison and cant get out and in fact does not get out until the end of the episode by which time it is all sorted, The ''Fam'' find out about the Dalek situation and try to investigate it and try to sort it out on there own acting how they would expect the Doctor to act, they are actually very successfully handling it till things get worse and along comes Jack at there moment of need who tells them they don't need to be the Doctor to solve the problem they just need to be the best version of themselves they can be and to use everything they've learned while traveling with the Doctor but to trust there own instincts ...... I wouldn't have made these things quiet as Dalek as they were I would have stuck to them being AI driven husks with the AI deciding that in order to protect us they need to kill us as we are self destructive as a species, I would then have them upgrade by removing human heads and inserting them in to there empty shells were they'd get integrated in to the machinery wires piercing the flesh etc and used to provide them with imagination... I wouldn't have called Daleks to beat Daleks I would have had the solution to be a combined effort where there programming is wiped or altered and the internal biological bits are melted away. Then I would end with the companions all leaving the Doc apart from Yaz saying that they've grown as people and that she's taught them all the need to go out and live the best lives possible, I would then have Captain Jack offer Ryan a position within Torchwood but leave us not knowing how he answered and have Graham go were ever Ryan Goes I go...

Not sure if this is old news but apparently the rumour is that Jodie will be leaving after the next series?

Makes sense I guess as 3 series seems to be what anyone does these days but it feels a bit of a shame as she's never really had the writing to let her interpretation shine. Still, there's a chance this last series could be her redemption, it's not entirely analogous but I always felt Capaldi's tenure was saved quite a bit by the strength of his final series so there's still hope!

I like Jodie as the Doctor, she deserves a better writer/showrunner. I'm not a big fan of any of "The Fam" (worst companions since Amy Pond), seeing Graham and Ryan leave isn't a big loss for me. I'm hoping only having two companions might make for a better balance

Amy had the distinct advantage of being the hottest companion.

I really like Pond as a companion, and only about 50% of that is down to her first showing up in a miniskirt :shifty:

I know I'm definitely in the minority when it comes to Amy. I genuinely found the character so annoying that I didn't want to watch Karen Gillan in anything else. I have changed that opinion though.

Her hotness really wasn't a factor for me. I know Karen/Amy is attractive but I'm not attracted to her

Chibbers has his 5 year/series plan to work with. I've obviously no idea if the new Jodie rumour is true but we've had this before and of course eventually the tabloids get it right. She would have done 3 series which is almost the unofficial stopping point now so it really wouldnt be a surprise. A different performer might carry the writing better then she has but the main issue has never been Jodie.

Oh and what I'd give for an annoying companion now. Or someone not a present day human.
