Chibbers has his 5 year/series plan to work with. I've obviously no idea if the new Jodie rumour is true but we've had this before and of course eventually the tabloids get it right. She would have done 3 series which is almost the unofficial stopping point now so it really wouldnt be a surprise. A different performer might carry the writing better then she has but the main issue has never been Jodie.

Oh and what I'd give for an annoying companion now. Or someone not a present day human.

Adric is being revived and will return, as will Dodo.

The New Years special was fine for a Chibbers episode, nothing special but certainly felt far too long with many filler moments.
Glad to see Ryan and Walsh go, both felt boring just need Yaz to go. I do think John Bishop may surprise,
As for the rumour that's going about, whilst I'm not keen on Jodie's Doctor, I do feel that it's Chibbers that need to go, you can change the actor but if the writing is crap, it's not going to make much difference.

I recently been getting into some of John Pertwee's episode's and I've really been enjoying them.
Got any recomendations of classic Who episodes?

Ordered the Blu-ray of Spearhead from Space the other day, will certainly pick up the others, thanks.

i would argue it is maybe colin baker's best, four stories weaved together as one under a single story arch each of which are good in their own way leading to one grand finalle

finally saw brain of morbius, very good story

just slightly tainted by its connection to a recent episode that broke the canon in such a way that made the new 52 look like nothing

I believe a character in the show (which I think is to do with AIDS) is an actor and will get a gig in Doctor Who

Ta for the info. Seems a bit unusual... but, hey, all good and I hope that the actor adds to the interest in the new series of Who!

Just watched Spearhead from Space and Inferno back to back this afternoon, both fantastic stories, especially Inferno which manage to be tense, thrilling and have multiple well written side characters.

Inferno is my favourite Jon Pertwee story by far. I've loved it ever since I first read the novelisation and watched it on a crappy-quality bootleg video back in the 80s.

Yeah they are absolute corkers. THAT cliffhanger in Inferno though :datass: :datass: :datass: I really recommend the rest of that series as well. The Silurians and Ambassadors of Death. Such an underated series.

No Jawa. He gets a job in Doctor Who within the RTD drama.
