I've still only watched the first two episodes, question for those who have finished the whole run: should I bother watching to the end?

Yes, watch it all and suffer with us.

I suppose I did make you suffer watching my Mario skills last night so it's only fair!

I did enjoy that. There hatred of Rutans means they couldnt even bargin with them to trick them. But then presumably they are all dead anyway?

Watch and come to your own conclusions. I've seen plenty of people happy (and not happy!) on twitter. I dunno how but they are.
Pedz wrote:After this, my thoughts are "should I care anymore" Cause I'm struggling to care anymore.

That was one of the main things during the whole of Flux. Not only did I think it was a mess but I just didnt care enough to try and work it out and invest in it. I just end up feeling sorry for some of the people clearly working bloody hard to make it. I'm far from 13s biggest fan but last night Whittaker clearly put everything into that performance. Its just a shame almost all of her Doctor is having to run around explaining the plot and then standing still have having the plot explained to her. Often very badly.

All that said the special looks like it should be fun. Groundhog Day X Daleks.

But Chibbers etc.

I stopped watching Doctor Who sometime in the Matt Smith ear, but my girlfriend watches is so have been watching this series with her. Think I missed the 1st and 3rd epidoes and none if it really made sense to me, was wondering if I it was because I missed a bunch of stuff in the episodes I'd missed, but it sounds like no..., I also remember Doctor Who being more Enemy of the Week than we got this series. So I didn't really like it, but felt there was a bunch of interesting ideas floating around. Really they need to make an HBO style 6 seasons run with all the lore and a complete story arc, that could be phenomenal.

I wish we were in Matt Smiths ear

So did the TARDIS fix itself last night after being a kind of spunky escher thing earlier? Did I miss something? Also realised Chibbers took the visual metaphor of the fob watch being a lost indentity and made it contain.... a visual metaphor of a lost indentity.

I'm assuming that's was a symptom of time broken when the people in the Temple of Adropos on Planet Time were broken.
Then when they were replaced time was "better"

None of that was covered in the show though so might be bollocks

Fine, but if I watch it and it's gooseberry fool I will not be best pleased :capnscotty:

I've not hated the Chibnall era so far to be fair, it's just been aggressively average and lacking in any real spark.

I thought this would be the case but I expected the characters to maybe react to it being back to normal. (LOL characters reacting to things etc.)

Just watched episode 3, what a load of old wank!

The 'b plot' of Bel and her tamagotchi was borderline okay but the main stuff was just the worst kind of Chibnallian bullshit attempting to substitute nonsense for depth and meaningful development. And for the love of God can everything in the universe stop centering around the Doctor for one second? Please?! How many times has an apocalyptic situation been her fault or triggered by her or a response to her or something from her past/future... Every plot doesn't have to pivot 100% around her FFS!!!

You're not going to like the rest of the season.

Alternate Tweet text: Actress wants to continue working.

I would be shocked if RTD doesn't go for a complete new cast.

They wanted someone with Bradley Walsh energy but Bradley Walsh is an actor.

Not the biggest fan of John Bishop's acting either, think Bradley Walsh was much better during his time on the show, and Dan's personal storyline felt really tacked on, so I'd be fine with Dan leaving. I think Yaz was very underused during her first two series and I'd originally hoped this series would be her opportunity to shine as a solo companion for 13. She had a couple of moments sprinkled among the chaos and I liked her new attitude towards the Doctor, but I was disappointed that her character development largely seemed to have happened off-screen and we missed out on their adventures together. I think it's time for a refresh.

It's hard to blame any of the actors as the storylines and scripts have been so poor.

Yaz/Dan might be great, but it's hard to tell when the material is dreadful.
