Finally got round to watching Eve tonight* and it was o...k. Ok in an uninspired just about competent way. Time Loops are some of my fav stories in various shows. Of all the ones I can remember this was probably the dullest of them all. If nothing else they are usually funny. I didnt even think this was funny. Was the triggering device meant to be facetime or was that just luck? Oh look its that guy at the end from 13s first ep remember him? Hahahahaha! Funny! :|

*the longest gap from broadcast I've ever waited btw

It was gooseberry fool Matt. It was gooseberry fool!

I was thrilled to see the Sea Devils return, but then I remember Chibnal....it will be gooseberry fool too.

You know my thoughts on this. I genuinely think this is the worst period of Doctor Who. EVER! That includes JNT and Delta and the Bannermen gooseberry fool!

I rewatched them recently on my rewatch and they were fine. RTD contributed to basically every non-Steven Moffat script though when he was showrunner according to the Writer's Tale so maybe Moffat did the same.

Maybe he did. Think I’ll look into that

well having done that it seems moffat just gave him the brief of silurians and a drill, and presumably the series story arch stuff, a number of the ideas were chibnals own. drew a lot of criticism though

Finally got around to watching the New Year special.

It was much better than the entire Flux series. I am a sucker for a time loop story and the two new characters were decent. Not a fantastic episode, but entertained me and kept me off my phone for a bit.

In that case, they could have removed the "l" in the series title and it would have been more accurate.

I think Jodie Whitaker has been a really good Doctor, unfortunately she's had a lot of terrible writing that nobody could have done any better with.

Of course the strawberry floating idiots will blame it entirely on her being a woman.

This gonna be absolute bollocks. Makes absolutely no sense. Worst comes to worst it'll be like 2 to 3 where it happens but you don't see the actual full change.
