That’s good news, 3 companions has been way too many.

The Doctor being the special one is a let down though: would much rather the Master be the Timeless Child, who’s aggrieved that his abilities were stolen from him through decades of torture and experiments, and that he wasn’t returned to his home but instead used to make the Doctor and all of the TimeLords special. That way he could claim the right to destroy what he created.

I've been thinking much the same and that it might work better thematically however this messes up all sorts of continuity (it does already tbh) as the Master continually runs out of extra lifes and even has to be resurrected at one point.

I'd say Yaz is the only one of the 3 that has shown enough to be just the one companion. As much as I like Graham he seems to mainly just be there for the odd Dad joke.

Agreed. Ryan is just dull and Graham is ok but just used as comic relief.

Getting back to just one companion will hopefully stop the “fam” gooseberry fool as well. The last series has sounded like a Grime track from a Fast & Furious scene set in Yorkshire.

Companion groups can work, but they need to be well written and actually have something to do. This lot have sadly just been a bit of a waste of space.

Is this fact or prediction? If it's fact, c'mon man, you should have used spoilers :-( .

Yaz is probably the most boring of all the companions, I wish they'd get rid of all three of them and have just 1 or maybe 2 new companions.
Least no more of this "Fam" rubbish it's so cringey.

just read it from the Bradley walsh news that's been breaking round the news sites after he made it public that he wont be doing anymore. didn't really seem to be spoiler worthy as its all out for anyone to see. the guy playing ryan has just landed a staring role on a new US show, so that will be him sorted for the future.

She is the only one that seems to have that curiosity and sense of adventure that the Doctor has. Ryan and Graham seem to be there more out of loyalty which would be fine if any of it worked.

I dont think any of this is actually confirmed yet by the show but it will be all over the place soon enough if true.

For these writers, there been 3 in the past and it's been better.

I’ve barely seen any of classic Who and so have no idea.

You don't need to, just ask Matt to give you a run down on it all. Dr who is like his baby he loves it more than anything, well. He did

I found out about it by reading your post. It’d be cool if folk could please use spoilers for stuff that isn’t gonna be shown for several months.

Same here. I have seen nothing of it anywhere else as I don't venture much of the net bar here and Twitch. I do look for gaming news for the Twitchcast, but that's it, mostly anyway.

personally i wouldnt have like that either, the doctor and the master are supposed to be like reflections of each other but one of them being more than what they are kind of takes away from that

That's why I think both of them being from the original race with regeneration would have been better, especially if they were the only ones left of the original race and the rest had been wiped out by the Time Lords obsession with stealing regeneration for themselves.

End of the road for Graham? Guess he didn't see it coming.
