PostDoes anyone here read French? Seeking antiquity translation.

Hi all, hope you are all well.

Just curious if anyone here is a french speaker, I'm looking to translate something that has taken me a long time to find. I'd be very grateful if anyone here has these skills and could do a translation from this book.

I'd be most curious to see if anything in there contextually refers to an original, or proof or the golden fleece.

This particular item shows up often in 52mm diameter, but the one I have here is 72mm and I have never found an example of one that size until now, in this book from the 70's.

Any help would be monumentally appreciated.

I believe the images will expand when clicked upon.

Thank you all :simper:

Louis 16th bust, hair in the style of the time, wearing court clothes with a coat around his shoulders bearing the insignia of the golden fleece.
Second one is: Burgundy personified, dressed as a duke carrying a corn of plenty and a caduceus

This has made me realise just how little GCSE French I can remember.

Thank you Taf  I'm awful with languages. I speak French in Spain and Spanish in France. :fp:
