Currently getting serious flack in this household over my putting celery in the spag bol I've just cooked.

So help me out here GR, am I crazy or is this acceptable?!

Hah I used to use that recipe all the time. That has strawberry floating everything in it to be fair.

This was small diced celery, trust me the soffritto elders would have been satisfied!

For the record I strawberry floating HATE celery on its own.

Absolutely yes.

Interesting that the thread has decided "yes" but the poll is still quite split. I think the source of the confusion is that it's common in the UK to call a simple tomato and meat sauce "bolognese sauce". As discussed, in Italy, ragu bolognese is a specific recipe that starts with celery, carrot, and onion.
