PS5 arrived yesterday, set it up this morning and while everything's downloading and updating etc, all I can really say so far is this UI really is a strawberry floating mess.

I suppose I've got used to it but it is different.
There are some odd choices like it seems to be more steps to sending a message in a group now.

I was really confused at first, until I got used to the idea that everything you can't see appears when you press the PS button. Now it all feels pretty natural to me...

Missed out again. Amazon had some this morning buy couldnt add one to basket

I set up email alerts with Amazon, but seems they couldn't be bothered to send one. Probably for the best as I can't afford one right now. :lol:

Going past experience with in-demand items, you likely wouldn't have been able to buy one even if they'd sent you an e-mail and you had the funds.

Those Amazon email notifications don't appear to work for anything in my experience. Pointless!

I signed up for notifications with Amazon and not once did I get one.

I've been getting a load of notifications for PS5 from the HotStock App lately.

It's a disgrace there is still next to no chance of getting a PS5 still. For me it's as if the launch didn't happen. I hope these scalpers choke on the money they make.

The way they've rationalised it... "we're putting food on the table of people who didn't have any"... absolute rot. My heart goes out to anyone in that position - the last thing they'll be doing is using scalper software to fork out £349-£429 on a console, whether they can recoup afterwards or not.

Probs obvious, but... it's a perfect storm of high demand and low supply. COVID impacts have really hit manufacturing and the effects continue to be seen; as well as consoles and peripherals, things like TVs and laptop computers are much harder to pick up as a lot of people are staying/working at home.

Sony and MS probably wouldn't admit it, but trying to manufacture the new consoles in the midst of all this definitely wouldn't have been a preferred option. They are having to pay increased component and manufacturing prices in order to secure kit and factory time ahead of other companies. Neither would risk changing their launch window in case the other one didn't, though.

Seems like Argos got some stock in the middle of the night.

Any progress on this? I can't see anything yet.

Going by Twitter they went up around 2 or 3am and people were getting them delivered from 7 onwards.
