I don't think they even bothered with that. Just found the font they used for the PS3 slim and PS4, pressed backspace on the number, and typed "5". Job done, let's have an extended lunch.

I don't have any graphic design skills but even I can see that 7 is utter gooseberry fool! (no offence). Sharp edges it doesn't even match. The 6 actually looks perfect. What do you mean you did them in MS Paint - you actually drew out the shapes?

It may be just that. It looks boring because it's the same but Sony may want to maintain that message of consistency and dependability - so gamers, go back to / stay with what they know. Although... all Sony did was hit backspace and type a 5! But I actually like this fan concept. The original PS symbol is great but maybe the letters in PS2 colours is too much and they would be good in white.
