No idea. I know this is a reference to something but I'm not someone who keeps up to date with those groovy new fangled sayings and catchphrases.

Integrating it with a subscription based service is what they will all eventually do imo.

Look, £1k is too much for a videogames console, but I want much better graphics compared to the PS4 Pro. I am talking 4K/ 60fps across the board (games should not be allowed to be released if they are not at least 4k/ 30fps to maintain Sony's high level of quality) with real time ray tracing, maxed out textures and immediate load times and a 512GB SSD Drive/ 8TB HDD included. £400 won't even get a slightly upgraded PS4 Pro.

Considering that the PS4 was hardly a massive leap from the PS3 and that for the first year at least the new consoles tend to play host to remaster and cross-gen ports, you're hopelessly deluded.

Companies don't release these games consoles because they've found some new chemical element that suddenly makes shooty mcbang bang games that much more awe-inspiring. They do it for the Gillette model of business where they want to sell you a new unit and get it into your home.

Still, would you stick your finger up a tramp's arse if Sony said that's how you had to get one?

What can i say i am getting greedy and demand more. As you get older you realise you don’t have long left and i want to experience true next gen now, not when i am over the hill.

I mean, we have all got to face our own impending mortality, but there's no need to be taking it out on the homeless.

Look jokes aside what i want is something powerful and exciting at launch. These mid gen versions have ruined proper next gen consoles imo.

I think the upgrade to the CPU and the much quicker loading will be much more of an impact than the mid gen refreshes gave us.

Let's at least wait until we see actual footage of games running on next gen hardware before decrying that it's not enough.

Yeah agree, we can’t do much else.

On this day of world shaking breaks in precedent this is the most shocking thing I've read.

Games wot I worked on:
Night Call: Out now!
Rip Them Off: Out now!
Chinatown Detective Agency: 2021!

They will all eventually do?

But you also said:

So are they all going to do it, or are Sony going to be the only console manufacturer?

How much did you pay for your phone? The fact is apple will make a massive profit on your shiny new iphone

I don't have an iPhone. In fact don't have a fancy phone at all as they don't interest me. I have a cheap, slow Alcatel I got from Giffgaff. It cost me £39.

That said, if PS5 offers backward compatibility where you'll get the Pro versions, I'm interested.

Google and apple will try to compete. I really hope neither gets any market share. Streaming console gaming just wouldn’t work as a day to day product in this time. Maybe in 50 years time.

It doesn't work at the moment thanks to Sony's poor online infrastructure. Once a competent company tries it then it will be massive.
