I wonder if you have to pre book.

As long as the controller is wiped down, the sofa disinfected with a spray can, and social distancing is adhered to you’ll be fine, but whether you trust Currys to be on top of it is up to you.

Be good to finally get a release date and price though as the ballpark will be similar for the Series X I’d have thought.

It surprised me as well.
It'll be interesting to see which TV they go with.

Sony has released 3 new 4K screenshots of Destruction Derby Allstars, captured on a PS5:

Promo bollocks. Looking forward to trying the game though. Has potential, despite the branding.

About those demo pods...

In a statement issued to IGN, Sony has denied that the retail kiosks spotted in stores are PlayStation 5 related.

According to a Currys PC World employee speaking to Push Square, the kiosks have been around for "maybe about a year now" and were being used for the PS4. Despite them boasting similar PlayStation 5 colouring, the employee says that the yellow tape is due to the pandemic, but doesn't have an explanation for the absent display and console. "Theft risk?" he hypothesises.

Recent controller demo was interesting. I really like the idea of the reactive triggers, though being able to blow on the controller is not especially appealing! :slol:

I like that they've made it a little larger too, it's probably the most common gripe is that they've historically been a little on the small side, though I think they probably increased the size of it to make the console look smaller in comparison!

PlayStation 5 has a planned feature which lets you load a specific mode or mission within a game directly from the PS5 home screen.

A now-offline Gamereactor article named the feature as “Activities“.

In WRC9 for example, it will reportedly let you load individual races, therefore skipping the need to boot the game normally and then navigate its own game menus.

How it'll work: stuff you've unlocked by playing the game normally will appear there.

How I want it to work: everything unlocked from the off - let me play the game in whatever order I choose! Switch off trophies and footage capture if you want to be precious about it.

Would you really want that for every game though? Playing a final boss battle as your first foray into a new game would ruin it somewhat, surely?

I like the idea of the system recognising your most common activities in suitable games though and offering you the option to go straight there, i.e an online race on GTA, team deathmatch on Call Of Duty, or online ranked battle on TTT3. It needs to be quite targetted though, otherwise it's just a new menu to replace existing menus.

The silly neighbourhood vegetable.

Has there been any word, or do we think, that PS Now will be included on PS5?

We're really starting to like it in the LewisD household, but I don't want to pay for a year's worth if it's not going to be usable on PS5

Three PS5 shell images have apparently been leaked onto a Chinese gaming forum. The pictures show the white plates, or wings, of the next-gen console in a workshop environment. The design of the PlayStation 5 plates implies that they are removable, and it appears the device may be even larger than was already expected.

All three leaked images show the clips for the PS5 plates, leading to the reasonable speculation that they will be removable and likely offer Sony an additional revenue stream by selling officially licensed game tie-in covers. It will also encourage third-party makers to offer owners their own take on customized shells for the PS5, although it is still unclear how necessary the wings are for the console itself.

At least those who want to purchase it at launch but also want it in black, or any colour, wouldn't have to then purchase or trade it in for a new PS5.

Looks enormous!

It really is a monster isn't it!

The size and look don't really matter to me - I shove all boxes in hidden cupboards anyway but I can see some people struggling to fit this thing into their units!

When it snows, you could put a small child on that and push them down a hill.

Should probably mention that on the box, tbh.
