To me, any Ratchet that’s not 60 just isn’t the same. Not gooseberry fool, but not the same. They started pulling that gooseberry fool on PS3...I think Tools of Destruction was 60 but everything after that wasn’t.

Edit: I say playing, I have a game in progress which i havent played in ages because:

1. I got too scared in deep water
2. For some reason the UI renders about 5cm from your face at all times, making it uncomfortable to interact with.

Whilst I agree with this I was actually surprised by how well this PS4 Ratchet & Clank remake feels and handles - they've obviously done some good work with things like motion blur that actually work quite well to soften the drop in FPS, at least in my view. It's certainly one of the best feeling 30FPS games that I've played.

But all that said, the 60FPS on PS5 option is going to be on a whole new level!

It is, yeah, making the decision to pimp the 2016 game a bit odd. New one should be 60 too, the console surely has it in it to deliver.

It'll be very disappointing if they don't even give a "performance mode" option.

I think they should at least offer the choice between 30 and 60 modes

I think they've already said Rift Apart will have a 60fps option. Probably be similar to Miles Morales, lower resolution and less or no ray tracing.

Just started Ratchet and clank. Loving it so far. Looks and plays beautifully too.

Yes, you're certainly right. And I AM rubbish at games, so I didn't explain the difficulty thing well.

I've finished harder games, and given up on easier ones. I just find it a bit uneven.

You wander about smashing crates easily, and then you get stuck in a bit where you die 2 or 3 times in quick succession before you work out what to do - and when you know what that is, it's quite simple.

I've definitely finished one ratchet & clank before and got really into it. With this one, I just thought there were better things to play and didn't have the patience. I like the humour etc, though. It's definitely a good game, just didn't click with me right now

Ah, fair enough! It's worth finishing, I'd say. Easiest if you get all the cards so you can buy the RINO, otherwise the final boss is a bit evil...
